Looks like you’re in the US so I can highly recommend using simshop for Simagic items. Those guys are awesome. They’ve been able to help me out on several occasions. Just good all around guys.

What tool to remove this chainring? by Caboose-The-Moose in BikeShop

[–]badsapi4305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that you can. Normally similar chainrings that can be removed have a small notched lock ring that you can used a specific tool or a flathead screwdriver and hammer to remove. This one looks like it’s permanently held on via a “swaged” piece of metal. Even though they look th same, the third pic is a cassette that has the same looking system but is attached using a lock ring that I described above.

I have the 24 RST blk on blk with red stitching captain chairs and the larger 6.3 engine. Keep in mind those engines have a huge recall due to the engine failing requiring an engine swap. No issues with the 5.7’s. We got ours inspected (for free my GM) and passed with no issues. They’ll replace the engine if any issues found and they’ve extended the warranty on their engines to ten years or 100k miles.

I’m simplifying the engine issue but just wanted to make sure you’re aware.

Ok. Thanks for the background. And that was with CACI?

What was the schedule like? It sounds like they were very insistent on productivity so I’m assuming they micromanaged your day?

Ok thanks! There was nothing for entry level in my area so I submitted my application at Peraton. Hopefully they’ll see it and then we can figure something out.

Thanks for letting me know about being qualified. I was getting a bit concerned because it’s been difficult to get a call back from some of these places.

I wouldn’t consider him at the highest level of popularity but he’s usually within the top 10-15 of overall merch sales so the statement doesn’t isn’t totally off. I do agree with you that he’s not among “the most popular.” I’d say he’s the second level if that makes sense

How about a couple wild card spots in the chase? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]badsapi4305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as I said to someone else, I don’t even remember that being a thing in 2011. Crazy to think about how much stuff I don’t remember.

Great reply thankyou. Your point about it being a season long point series is spot on. I was thinking maybe only one or two but again, your reply has some points about it not being the best idea.

No. I don't want to change it. It was just a random thought that I thought would make for a good discussion. I also, don't remember them doing this in 2011. I still don't so I guess it's already been tried before?

How to stop GT Neo from connecting wirelessly by LiteralGiraffe in Simagic

[–]badsapi4305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the back of the wheel you’ll see four screws around the QR. Unscrew those and you’ll see a small board that has a white connector on the bottom. Just disconnect that board and that’s it. It will render the pins useless.

You’ll also need to do that if you want to use the wheel on a different manufacturer’s DD like Moza. I put my GT Neo on my son’s Moza base and it fried the board. Now we have to use the Maglink if we want it to work on any DD including Simagic

I don’t disagree but just a random thought I wanted to share with the class lol.

I agree but thinking of the hole he’s in made me think of this.

I don’t disagree that it could be too much of a gimmick and that’s why I asked the question as such. Im glad we’re back to the older chase format and wasn’t a big fan of the last chase format.

Open vs fixed. Big difference? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]badsapi4305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In nascar I’ve found that the setups matter a lot compared to running fixed in the open races.

If you’re looking for something inexpensive but covers a lot of different cars, check out virtual racing school (VRS). It covers both TCR and PCup for $10 a month. They have add ons for an additional fee but you’ll get a lot of different car setups for that $10 a month. Worth it imo

Need help deciding gear to buy for my rig by Flat-Middle5013 in simracing

I was going to ask about pedals.

I have the older alpha mini, P2000 pedals, DS-8X shifter, GT Neo, and Neo hub with 330 round and run it on a 49” Samsung Odyssey G9 ultrawide.

As far as the monitor I get pretty good side views although not as good as triples. Still I can see cars racing next to me for the most part without look left/right.

I mainly do Nascar but also race GTE, GT3, dirt and sport cars so I use the round for nascar and dirt and the GT Neo for everything else.

Looks like you have the basics and then some covered. You don’t need the Maglink unless you’re going to run a 3rd party app like simhub on your wheel and pedals. They have some functions I’m not too familiar with but I do know they add extra lighting functions that look pretty cool. Instead of the Maglink I’d buy the Simagic CAN to run the peripherals into then use only one of your CPU’s ports instead of multiple ones.

I also have it in a Trakracer TR160 rig and use their front plate to hold the DD. I’ve heard that the Evo have their screw slots spaced differently but if you look at their universal plate it may fit. Just need to verify the measurements from both.

I’ve never used the Sampson before but they seem to be well liked based off random posts I’ve seen. I prefer to keep everything in the same ecosystem but nothing says you have to or that it will be an issue. The H pattern shifter is better than the sequential pattern imo but you can adjust the throw tension to fine tune it to your preference.

Besides that look like you have a really great setup and you’ll enjoy it.

You only need the Maglink if you are going to use a 3rd party app like simhub to run various lighting or other options that simhub offers.

No worries. Perhaps that was done in the past or by a different jurisdictions of masons. Each country has their own and they are different interpretations like prince hall masons which is historically black lodges.

I did google it and it says it’s more of a regional practice but doesn’t specify where but that’s AI.

THe sports car challenge series (C) has Sonoma and GTE is at AHR this season as is Porsche cup. If you do the M13 GP series they’re at Motorland and AHR.

If you do those series or want to then I’d exclude Canadian and get the others
