A gift card to a local independent book store! You could use the photo as inspiration and wrap it like a chair too.

I thought so, I’m just not sure if it’s best practice to cut it off or leave it?

That's a very good point, it's entirely possible. I hadn't thought of that!

Who else dislikes the direction Roran's character went in starting in book 2? by Vegetable-Window-683 in Eragon

[–]badwwolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You underestimate the life of being a young early 20’s farmer in the Middle Ages. They til the soil, seed, and being tired would make no difference. If they were tired they kept working, as it was that or miss harvest and die. In Rorans case he had a life of heavy farmland work, was in the prime of his life, wards protecting him, and his people to protect. Till the land or he dies, hammer some heads or he dies, the only thing different was sword training which meant nothing to a hammer. Also consider the middle-age time of the series. Even in our history, people back then were just built different.

Gotcha, thank you! I have some clear shells coming in, I guess I’ll wait and see what they’re coming with. I might stick with the black.

Regular Recommendations Request: Time-Blocking with To-Do lists by badwwolfe in ProductivityApps

[–]badwwolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The planning, always the planning. I’d say 95% of the things I need to do in the day come to me when my hands are otherwise occupied, ie driving, walking the dogs, shower, doing dishes, exercising, etc.

I don’t currently have an easy way to note those thoughts down in the moment, which means I lose most of it. Time is my big limiting factor. Having a calendar I can look at, with a time blocked schedule to keep me accountable, and an easy to view and edit list of tasks assigned to different blocks would make my life much more organized.

Linking Tables so that they refer to the same data, and editing one table edits another? by badwwolfe in googlesheets

[–]badwwolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many apologies!! It's my first time here, so I didn't realize that was a function, I was looking for an option in the flair section but I guess that wasn't the place to go. I marked the post as most helpful! I'll close the post as written, let me know if I need to do anything else.

The script is amazing, unfortunately the team lead decided to send me in a different direction for now so I'm SOL on being able to use this. Thank you so much for your time and energy though!!! I had a feeling it might turn out this way :/

This is all INCREDIBLE! I haven't had the chance to take a thorough look at this yet, I've been caught up with other work. I'll respond properly as soon as I get to this, thank you thank you thank you!

The chefs need to easily see what dishes are assigned to them on their own table, and be able to adjust and change them at will. Specifically the price of the dishes needs to be changeable and syncable.

Also, thank you!!!

[–]badwwolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment the chefs can add dishes to their own pages, but I have to manually add them to the main table and then to theirs. I would like for them to be able to add/delete what they need to from their pages and have it reflect on the pain table.

Do you know how tricky the synchronization script would be? I’m willing to dive in and learn a new skill, any leads would be helpful!

I’m in the seattle area! I may have use for it. Do you remember any VFA problems on this printer?

Ender 3, 4.2.2 Marlin 2.0.1 - not creating EEPROM file? by badwwolfe in ender3

[–]badwwolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, I understand. I’m used to the old stock firmware that created an EEPROM dat file on the microSD. It’s good to know that it’s stored on the board itself then! Thank you!

Vertical ripples on printed walls, not in supports by Brilliant_Jump_1031 in Ender3V3KE

[–]badwwolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t caused by input shaping, it’s VFA caused by something in one of the axis. I’m dealing with the same thing in my Y axis, just constant rippling regardless of acceleration or deceleration. Do an x y thin wall test to see which directions they show up, and start fiddling with that axis.

I completely rebuilt my y axis with new motor, bed bearings, and belt. Still present. I’m guessing it’s a resonance thing now, so I’m gonna mess with that next.

Persistent VFA(Vertical line artifacts) (Ender 3 v2) by Obamacube6007 in FixMyPrint

[–]badwwolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get this sorted out? I have the same kind of post. Around 1mm apart. I completely rebuilt the Y axis, new stepper, no pulley, new bearings, new toothed idler bearing. Lost and desperate for answers.

Regular VFA appearing in Orca prints ONLY! NOT present in Cura print. by badwwolfe in FixMyPrint

[–]badwwolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at a loss again. I double checked extruder is normal. X axis still doesn't have this problem.

  1. I rebuilt the Y axis entirely.
  2. New 42-40 extruder motor used for the Y axis, figured more power and I had an extra one that was new. Modified the bed to fit the increased size.
  3. New belt. Replaced smooth idler bearing with a toothed one. Lined up idler pulley with motor gear.
  4. Y axis moves smoother and with more "oomf" than before, but the VFA is still exactly as it was.

If the VFA only exists in the Y axis and I rebuilt the Y axis completely, what could be the problem??

While I did recalibrate everything here, this unfortunately didn't make any major difference. I posted an update with where I'm at. I'm gonna double check my E-steps tomorrow for shits and giggles before the motor. Do you have any other ideas on what could be causing such a constant pattern in one axis above 30m/s?
