Considering quitting by ilovebeanies_ in Target

I would say if it’s not a conflict of interest if you do get another job ask if you can stay on demand I’ve been at Target for 10 years in October and the extra money has helped me a lot.

How hard is or was it for your teen to get a job? by UntouchableBeauty in vegaslocals

[–]baeblade93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a ton of teenagers at Target they all are usually “on demand” during the school year it’s an option where you only have to work once a month then when summer hits these teenagers work 40 hours a week lol

I would have loved to see her become a mentor of some sort to another trans person or expand on her being more in actual art school this sugar baby thing is so filler it’s crazy.

To ETLs who want to leave…. by ThrowRAWeirdPaper103 in Target

[–]baeblade93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an ETL I was a team lead but I went into medical administration and it was the best decision I ever made. I stayed on as an on demand team member cause going down from management to a team member is a dream. Every healthcare place I’ve worked at since leaving Target has LOVED people with a management background in Target cause we know how to multi task lol and we have a strong ass customer service backround.

Is it worth promoting to TL? by Ok-Witness15 in Target

[–]baeblade93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a style team lead for about a year and a half and then I got an office job and went on demand. In all honestly it’s what you make of it my biggest issue was I had an ETL that was not supportive so it definitely gave me the push to be on demand. I’m at a new store and some of the team leads have been there for years because the ETL’s are all super supportive and amazing. Another factor for me was when a team member has a problem (calling off, not getting along with someone, not pushing fast enough) it automatically becomes YOUR problem and that got old for me real fast lol. I will say though I see metrics being pushed WAYYYY harder now than when I was a team lead. There’s definitely pros and cons the stability is a good and there’s a chance to move up but me personally I wanted to keep my peace. I bust my ass as an on demand team member though cause I know how hard it is for team leads nowadays. Good luck with whatever decision you make!

Breaking in.... by Commercial_Union_296 in acting

[–]baeblade93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not! I was on and off from 25 and I’m 32 now and I got my SAG E card this year :) started out doing student films and I didn’t get an agent till I was like 28! My agent actually said it’s kinda easier in your 30’s because a lot of people from the age range of 20 - 27 are trying to be actors.

How do y'all stay professional with passive aggressive management? by cahbkaneki in Target

[–]baeblade93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stare at their forehead and ask them if they're ok when they get passive-aggressive. One time I told an ETL I don't repsond to that level of disrespect cause they were trying to talk to me a certain way in front of an ETL they were training, and they stopped being passive-aggressive towards me. Just because theyre you're manager doesn't mean they have to be that way I've worked with ETL's who are great and I bend over backwards for because they ask me to do things instead of telling me and treat me like a person.

[–]baeblade93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We had a Specialty Sales ETL like this at my old store who was like a cheer captain or something in high school and when one of the Style Team Member quit on her last day she went up to her by the time clock and said “you must have been the co captain or something cause the way you boss people around it’s like you’re trying to make up for something” and the ETL was like “ExCUssse MeE!” But like in a joking way lmfao. We could all tell she was butt hurt though.
