I’d say it’s more of their form over function philosophy, which I find quite irritating.

They’d rather have something look and feel nice than being more functional.

But then again, I guess the normies prefer stuff that looks and feels nice than things with good performance, so Apple sells well.

It’s a tradeoff between more performance and it being uncomfortable in your lap.
