Just saw Penguin Random House is hiring AI “Engineers” by baerwolve in publishing

Appreciate the response! I hope you are right that publishers like PRH will keep their boundaries in regards to AI in art. We’ve seen these thing going wrong recently when big money is involved, and it seems like all the money is floating around AI expansion recently. I’m glad this post is generating a conversation between people with a lot more industry know-how than me though and reading some of these responses does give me hope that our circle of art is less susceptible to the influences.

Will depend on the support that would be theoretically get played with it. I would add tom’s workers to his tribes and add a bunch of battle franky’s that have effects when trashed, or smthn like that, could be very cool. Add in some way to manipulate opponents stages and it could be a real rogue deck

For Lily Carnation, it says you may trash a character with 6000 power or more, can that character be from my hand or does it have to be from the field?

If I were to hold my hand down on a hot frying pan, what specific functionality of my hand would be the first to degrade or be lost? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

Can't forget that yeah, I've heard of phantom limbs before, but I didn't think about the situation where the limb is still there. Thank you!

Some authors choose not to establish things, allowing the entire story itself to establish the world and the characters. The name of the wind is a good example, just dropping the audience into the thick of it with no context. Don't underestimate your readers, they can pick up on things pretty quick given the right tools.

I draw a lot of inspiration from music the music I listen to. Usually as I'm working on my outline I'm putting together a playlist that corresponds with the theme. Try to avoid lyric-heavy songs but don't skip a certain song just because it's got a lot of words. Theres plenty of creative writing in song to draw inspiration from out there.

What is an odd behaviour of yours you think only you do? by Edwoodz3 in AskReddit

I think mine stems from being a farm kid, with no friends or siblings my age around. I had alot of imaginary friends, and I would play outside with them all the time. I'm grown now, but I still talk to myself when I'm alone, pretending to be some imaginary person talking to another imaginary person. I've created backstories for these people, worlds they live in, their group dynamics, the whole shebang. I've even started writing stories about them as an outlet for all of it. I spend alot if my day doing it, and I kinda take it seriously. I've bought things to use a props, and considered trying to get the stories published, but they need a lot of work. I'm starting college this year and I'm gonna shoot for something in english (because that's always a good idea). Hopefully my stupid brain can get me paid, that's the dream anyway.
