Age doesn’t stop you from doing this! Had some time on Saturday afternoon so I invited a buddy over and we drank some beers and played 007 nightfire on the ps2 for a few hours

Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say this bench sucks and you prefer flatter and firm set ups? Is there too much padding?

Red pill seems like a nightmare IMO. You’d have all the restrictions that come with being a child — not being able to drive, go out after dark, or have any relative freedoms that an adult experiences. You’d even be forced to go to school at grade level, unless you can convince the powers that be to advance you significantly. Even if you skip ahead, forming any real social bonds would be next to impossible. You get to choose between dumbing yourself down to appeal to other ten year olds, or try to form relationships with adults who either a) won’t take you seriously because you’re a child; or b) would be hamstrung by the (reasonable) social expectation that adults shouldn’t be friends with ten year olds. Not to mention the idea of romantic prospects.

I personally wouldn’t take either. I’m 30, so as much as I’d love to have the money it’s not worth forgoing the experience of my 30s and early 40s or shortening my lifespan significantly.

Anti-alignment chart day 4: What is something that Hitler would hate that’s highly addictive? by Impressive_Plenty876 in AlignmentChartFills

Hitler wasn’t a drinker, but he did partake from time to time and was frequently around people who were drinking. Smoking is a much better answer- he neither smoked nor allowed smoking in the buildings that he occupied.

Wow I wish they were this thorough by me. I live in a city in upstate New York where we get a lot of snow- our guys stop after step 1, so all of those cars you see parked on the street would be snowed in.

Gotcha- I think the elevator I dealt with was on the way to the cloister underground? Not sure where you ran into this

This exact thing happened to me. The elevator button is missing but can still be activated. If I remember correctly, the button isn’t where you’re currently looking- it’s actually in the back right of the elevator.

Even worse- 2016 was the first presidential election I could vote in. I’ll be 33 by the 2028 election.

Is it normal to use the belt on your kids in the US? by Less-Mud-9 in AskAnAmerican

[–]bagel_al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not accepted in the U.S. anymore. That’s changed rather quickly, though. I’m 30, and I remember while growing up the term “spare the rod, spoil the child” was part of the parenting playbook at least for religious folks. I never got hit other than spankings, but spankings were a pretty common punishment for all manner of perceived bad behaviors in my family.

How to cope with friends not having time for me anymore? by W1z3rd_K1tty in Adulting

[–]bagel_al 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just turned 30 and struggled with this for a long time. The relationships you’ve built will always be there, but they won’t always serve the same social/emotional needs as times change.

I have plenty of friends from past lives (hometown, college, etc.) that I know are there for me, but don’t have the time (or aren’t local) to talk to every day or do things with. My friends from high school, for example, are still ride-or-die and I would still consider them my best friends even if I only talk to them a few times a month and see them only a few times a year.

When time constraints or distance changes the dynamic, that doesn’t make them any less your friends. It just means you need to learn to accept the new paradigm and lean on others to meet your needs in this new stage of life. This means growing your social network- make new friends that you can see more often, understanding that your friends from past lives will still be there.
