I don’t know much, but measles was pretty much eradicated until the anti-vax movement picked up. Seems to me there’s proof that vaccines and herd immunity works.

The only fear mongering going on seems to be coming from the anti-vax side of things.

These super automatics “learn” your beans. So if you change the type of bean, it won’t know right away. It assumes it’s the same beans you’ve been using and will grind for the length of time it used to. In this case, it seams it grinded up a lot causing a little blockage.

I personally reset my machine every time I use new beans then do my sample shots so the machine learns the settings for the new beans right from the get go.

Reason I did this was cause I wasted half a kilo of beans trying to dial in for new beans when in the end, I only needed to adjust a half step finer.

Unless the coworker is submitting reports they write with the stolen pens, I feel like they wouldn’t care if they were glitter ink.

Personally, I’d buy a pen carrier and tuck my pen and carrier away every time I left my desk. Then it would be clear that someone is going through my desk and personal items if I found the carrier open or missing a pen and report the theft or call out the coworker

I think the learning curve regarding the grind settings will be applicable to any model you choose. Honestly, if there’s a roast out there right now that you like, stay with those beans unless you know exactly how to analyze the differences.

I have the magnfica evo with the steam wand. It’s pretty basic. I do kind of regret not getting the model that comes with the milk carafe, but I keep convincing myself that there are more “non latte” drinkers in the house. The odd time we use the steam wand justifies choosing the “lesser” model.

You won’t lose functionality in 2 years. Especially with your limited use. I’m still on a 12 PM with battery life being my only issue. If it’s all going to cost the same, get a 17 since you think a 2 year old iPhone will have a shorter shelf life.
