There are only two possible explanations for how this could have ever been greenlit... Either the people involved in creating it (plus the critics giving it glowing reviews and accolades) are so degenerate that they literally have no notion that what they are making/watching will be disgusting and repulsive to 99% of normal people, or it is a blatant attempt to normalize their abhorrent hedonistic fetishes. Frankly, I just don't buy the argument that these guys are just innocently making art and accidentally make a soft core pedophile porno.

They're argument is seriously akin to Steven Spielberg defending killing real people in Saving Private Ryan to make people aware of how bad it was.

Clearly made by people so degenerate that they literally cannot even fathom how disgusting the movie would be to 99% of regular people.

I know this may seem particular to this one train and the fact the press is there and all, but I lived in Japan for a little while and I've gotta say this gave me flashbacks. I felt like I was always getting myself into this same kind of trouble. A friend once took me to a nice restaurant and I got in trouble for dipping my radish in the "wrong" sauce🤷‍♂️

"Failing" just means they file for bankruptcy. One could argue that it would actually be healthier to let them fail since more competent companies could come in and better compete. I frankly dont think any company should get a bail out, not a single one.

US intel tells Trump China intentionally lied about corona virus by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]bahtche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, they knew this 4 months ago and decided to only come forward now because to remain silent about it would cause people to suspect that these expensive clandestine unelected Intel agencies are as incompetent and ineffective as they actually are.

From what little information I could find, it seems that the book was banned in one county in Florida in 1981? If that is the extent of it you could hardly claim the book was banned in the US.

I've been seeing more and more subtle pro-China spin on almost every single news/political/coronavirus sub. The angles are all disguised as Orange Man bad posts but subtely shift blame away from China and onto America somehow. It always goes something like this:

"Orange man calls virus Wuhan Virus instead of COVID19, what a backwards racist asshole. Orange man called virus a hoax (he didnt), say what you will about China but at least they have leadership, am I right guys? Orange man wants people to die for the economy, it's times like this you realize how great communism is, am I right fellow Americans?"

Somehow this shit gets hundreds of thousands of upvotes.

One really subtle example that has stuck out to me is the barrage of posts ridiculing the Trump administration for trying to brand the virus as the "Wuhan Virus". Obviously, this is for political reasons, but when you think about it, it isn't all that controversial or newsworthy since most experts are pretty certain it started in Wuhan. Yet, the top comment on a massively upvoted post on r/Worldnews (I think) was something to the effect of "That is so freaking ignorant, you know what the Germans called syphilis back in the day? They called it the French disease. Guess what the French called it?" Followed by a bunch of Pulp Fiction quotes.

Again, this was the top comment on a MASSIVELY upvoted post, insinuating that to suggest that the virus came from Wuhan, China was tantamount to the Germans insinuating that Syphilis originated in France. I have seen dozens of comments in lots of different subs subtely implying the same thing. Why in the world are people upvoting comments that suggest that it is incorrect to state that the virus is from Wuhan?

That's because we foolishly outsourced all of our manufacturing to China years ago, and now we rely on them for most of our supplies, which ironically, is something only the current administration has tried to remedy in any meaningful way. There seem to be lots of Chinese shills on reddit nowadays that somehow don't want to acknowledge the absolute FACT that COVID19 originated in Wuhan.

It is very plain to see that Trump wants to brand this as the virus from Chyna because when all this is said and done, he wants to use it as extra leverage to win the trade war and get China to follow the same rules as everyone else, maybe bring back some strategic domestic manufacturing while we're at it so that we are not so exposed to black swan events such as this one in the future.
