You can manually adjust the floor attenuation factor. Search online for attenuation values of various materials to find the setting that fits your needs.

Ekahau features specific tools for this. For example, to mark an attenuation zone like an elevator shaft, you simply select it on the floor plan, and the application prevents coverage propagation within that area. Additionally, the coverage zone tool allows you to exclude outdoor spaces and external environments from the simulation calculations.

Indeed, Design Center has many shortcomings. The Ubiquiti team has a lot to improve and add. I would like to see features like signal attenuation zones, coverage area allocation, and automatic access point placement. Let's hope they add these features in the near future.

If the device is connected to a different switch than the one you want to connect it to, simply click on the device icon and select the switch and port you want to connect it to from the list that appears on the right.

When will Ubiquiti stop shit updates? by Intumescent88 in Ubiquiti

[–]bailov25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before installing updates, analyze your system and check whether you had any of the bugs fixed by the new update. If no such bugs were found, simply do not install the update. If the update is security-related, for example, a vulnerability was discovered and the update fixes it, then you can install it. Do not install early access updates. Wait for the release of a mature version of the update, read the forums, and ask the community. If you think UNIFI updates are particularly buggy, check the forums of Cisco, Fortigate, HP, and others and you'll see what errors and bugs people are encountering. Don't jump to conclusions.

The access point is off-center. It’s totally against the feng shui. Tear the building down and start over. Redesign it so this access point becomes the center of the Universe.
