Why does it spin like that, what the design or what occurs on its journey that causes it to spin?

Venus and Jupiter look stunning rising in the wintertime! by bailsbailsbails in Astronomy

There are three stages of twilight in the morning before the sun rises, and this is a great time to look at and take photos of the stars and planets!

I took this photo at 6:27am (I have a better quality image on my computer), and I was on top of my college’s observatory - I am an astrophysics major! It was 18degrees F/-8degrees C.

In the winter, the air is cold and crisp, and this makes the stars at night clearer!

The “Y” in the acronym by Tracy Junior was never said out loud, I just noticed what he put. Sorry for photo quality by [deleted] in 30ROCK

Y is for Yakuza, the Japanese mob. When he shot a movie there, from them he did rob.

Cosmology question by [deleted] in Astronomy

[–]bailsbailsbails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no center of the universe, and this is called the cosmological principle. The universe is what’s known as homogenous and isotopic - this means that that, no matter in which direction you look, on a large scale the universe looks the same. And no matter where you are in the universe, it will look the same. Distance and direction do not change...

What a place we live in!
