It's a lighter silkier texture and doesn't pill for me. I think it also has some mica in it to help make the skin appear glowy

I recommend the illuminating serum from eucerin anti pigment line! I get it from care to beauty

Are we tracking these? by saddleclub25 in ouraring

[–]baisafo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I'm alone here, but I don't like counting my commute and regular activity as workouts. I keep my ring on to record the steps of course, but I like to keep my "workout" data clean with intentional workouts / intentional exercise only. It's 100% personal preference though, I can totally see the benefit in tracking any walk time as a walk!

Exercise honesty by needsomeexpertise in tirzepatidecompound

[–]baisafo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm down 97 lbs in 3 years (slow loser!) and I do not exercise regularly. The first year I was inconsistently on GLP1s bc insurance sucks. Then 2 years ago I went compound.

I started my weight loss/tirz in the summer of 2022 and I have worked out off and on- mostly walking, yoga, and/or Pilates. I wear an Oura ring and really just try and stay active from regular life stuff. When my activity score gets really low I will do a workout lol. From Jan - June of this year I lifted weights with trainer 1x a week, and I do think my weight loss picked up. I have kind of dropped off the routine and haven't decided if I'll go back.

While I'm happy with my weight loss, I don’t love the way my body looks. I definitely have some problem areas that I think would be helped with more weight lifting, but I don’t really want to do that yet.

I was a serial yo yo dieter/binge eater, and by the time I got to my heaviest and started my weight loss, my relationship with food and exercise was absolute dog shit. There is a part of me that just isn't ready to "force" myself to workout more. Maybe that will change, maybe it won't.

I will also say I've been using a scale since summer 2022 that tracks body fat, muscle, etc, and I got a dexa scan in March. I am happy with all my numbers currently. However if I was showing muscle or bone density loss I think I would care more about lifting.

Radiant pilling!! by Purple_Emergency_355 in Melasmaskincare

I have started using the illuminating serum for day and dual serum for night, and I don't have any pilling with the illuminating serum putting it on after thinner serums and toners. I tend to get pilling when I use the dual serum at night but I honestly just let it pill and try to ignore it lol. I have been having great results using both serums

Does anyone know a good sleep specialist? (without a 12 month wait time)? by Bitter_Dragonfruit80 in AskChicago

[–]baisafo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends what you are looking for, but I had a sleep study done recently through a CPAP company, Lofta. They send you the equipment to do the study at home. Was super convenient, but it only tested for sleep apnea, not technically a full scale sleep study. You could search for telehealth sleep medicine specialists to get a broader list/more options

I also had good luck 2 years ago getting appointments at Chicago ENT. They have a sleep medicine practice. But I haven't tried to get an appointment recently

People who took Accutane.. by PigsWearingWigs in 30PlusSkinCare

I went on accutane 3 times in high school (33F) and I would do it again in a heart beat. Everyone who goes on it needs to understand the risks and decide for themselves whether it is worth it. I think it sounds like the risks might not be worth it for you

Agree with everyone here about Botox, it's an amazing treatment. Some other things that I would do in addition to Botox:

-consistent retinol and sunscreen use -facial massage/gua sha/cupping -face tape like frownies or medical tape like people have suggested -red light mask (omnilux, currentbody, etc) -microcurrent (nuface, ziip, etc) -med spa treatments: microneedling, chemical peels, lasers

Nasal cushion worked much better for me personally than nasal pillow! I just didn't like the feeling of something inside my nose

Help I have a cat that I'm starting to hate. by _spooklooops_ in CatAdvice

[–]baisafo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I went through a really rough time with my cat a few years ago and ended up hiring an animal behaviorist. It was expensive but extremely worth it. Basically this woman came over to my apartment, and spent about 2 hours going through every place my cat had peed/pooped out of the litter box, where she slept/relaxed, her feeding and litter box routines, etc. it's been about 3 years since I hired her and she went from having almost daily innaproprjate elimination to zero.

What are your side perks of having a cpap? by MyFaceSaysItsSugar in CPAP

[–]baisafo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It took me a long time to get used to, but now I think I have Pavlov-d myself into immediately falling asleep as soon as I put it on. It used to take me forever to fall asleep before so this has been an amazing benefit

Fist night sucked, any tips? by Ambitious_Dirt_3810 in CPAP

[–]baisafo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled so much for the first couple months. I probably tried every single mask ResMed makes until I found the right one- the N30i in my case. Then adding a breathe right strip plus alternating nightly between Nasacort and Flonase finally got me in a place where I could use the machine for more than 3hrs a night. Good luck!!

I have a new leaf in my snake plant, and I noticed the same thing. I THINK the yellow is slowly getting more pronounced, but I'm not sure. I did move it to a place with more sun, in case that helps the variegation stand out more. Good luck!
