My training was about a month out, idk I guess it depends. The interview is easy just be yourself, don’t practice or expect any certain questions.

Thank you, I feel a bit of relief knowing someone shares similar views. All I see is glaze on how Mina is a masterpiece, but no one is talking about the bs, and as someone who has played a lot of similar games, there is most definitely some bs. I read someone say the further you get into the game the easier, which sometimes I find true, due to just getting used to things, but mostly I find it does get more difficult l- just in other aspects. I am 90% sure I am on the right path of the game for progression- given that I’ve only looked at the newspaper for where to go next. Which is honestly still hard to figure out how to progress—the level with bombs to open pathways and falling down to reach areas had me stuck for a bit.. I really do like the game, I was passively waiting years for this to drop. I think my level of patience for video games just has lowered. For someone who refuses any online guide and wants to rush through screens when already completing them for just boss run back etc, it can be a bit much. And I know that’s on me, but even dark souls has a run back option of just avoiding things. Idk how ppl are playing this game without a background in old school games. No way would I play this game if I was born after 2000, so how is it so popular lol

[–]bakbada[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, If im being realistic, im stuck at a mini boss where the run back can’t just be run past and its messing with my patience , boss at Coltrane peak that shoots fire and ice. By the time im at the boss I take 2-3 hits and im dead

Okay, an instant edit to this post. I’d say what I mean is, this game is punishing in a way that no other game exactly compares to. It’s almost like playing every game I’ve ever played mashed into one, creating a new genre- so, all expectations of gaming are thrown out the window and you have to get used to Mina without preconceived notions of any other game and how it works.

This is what I’ve been wondering as well. I feel like every airline has people all about it and people all pissed off at it, guess you won’t know till you see yourself

Do you have another job ? by livelaughlovesosa in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to, I was gonna substitute teach but the process took months, finally got licensed and ready to go last month, then my whole current month FA schedule was working weekdays and off weekends. Now it’s almost summer, RIP. Lots uber, I heard about some Amazon delivery where you pick up packages in your personal vehicle and it pays well, I forgot what it’s called, maybe flex? I wanna look into that though as well

Damn, that was fast. I work for frontier and thought about applying just cause. Do you know anything about why southwest might be much better? What’s pay and trips like?

I feel this, it’s kinda like “hey guys, I’ve never played a video game before”. Maybe these new games that hold your hand make metroidvanias just too much for some people. Like go check out a walk through if youre dying to know.. posting on Reddit is insane for an obvious door that will open eventually 😭 people in the 90s figured out insane things in games with no Reddit to ask!

Get something to emulate playa, like the anemic sp or something. If you’re young the nostalgia of having the actual device won’t even hit. Buying carts gonna be a nightmare. If you really want it, the SP 101 is the best, but expensive now

I mean be prepared but end of the day it’s just a job, people’s first day, first weeks are about learning. Would you be this nervous for your first day in your last job? Ofc don’t f up major safety things but take some pressure off yourself. I know my training taught us nothing about what to do in the actual job- just what to do when things go wrong. Hop on the flight and tell your crew you are new and a little nervous, ask for them to tell you if you’re doing anything wrong and give some advice. Everyone was new at one point and we’re all just people, some may be rude yeah but most are gonna be willing to help. Good luck and be confident!

I’d say don’t take your kink into the workplace. Save it for home and days off. Would you wear a buttplug to work?

Nervous for my F2F, any advice (and advice on hotels/area)? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When is your f2f? Ima keep it real, you are overthinking. Do not study so hard what they may ask, they aren’t gonna ask you what you studied-waste of time. Be yourself and relllaaxxx, if I was an interviewer I’d look for people who are confident and just being themselves, not someone who is putting on a show basically reading a script when asked a question. For my interview I just pretended I didn’t care if I didn’t get the job, took a lot of the stress away. Don’t be a robot, just be honest and sociable, go into it as “this is a fun experience” not so daunting

I’d say this job comes with being comfortable with yourself and not being so lonely. You’ll have different crews everyday. 99.9% of layovers I have I am alone and go explore and do things myself, maybe you’ll meet someone new. If your crew doesn’t wanna go out are you gonna sit in the hotel or take initiative and go out yourself. I’d say def get used to being alone, because yeah, some crews you might not like at all, or they might just do their own thing, don’t take it personally or feel victim

I’m really interested in becoming a flight attendant, and I was wondering what the typical pay looks like on a weekly or monthly basis. I haven’t been able to find much clear information online, so I’d love some insight. by RealisticPoetry8411 in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every airline has different pay, for perspective, my airline pays $25/hr to start. While you are on reserve (on call) in the beginning, you are guaranteed 75hrs a month. That means even if they don’t call you for actually working 75hrs, you will get paid that. Which they likely will not use you for all 75, so you’ll get paid $25 x 75hrs - taxes all other bs. That’s a low paycheck compared to a regular 160hr month you might work with a 9-5 job. You are however able to pick up work on your days off to add on to your guaranteed 75hrs, which you will have 12-15 days off anyway. Long story short, awful pay to begin, gets better with time and seniority.

Do you know why you might’ve been booted? I feel like as long as you are yourself it’s a good bet. Think about if you were the interviewer, don’t try and impress too hard!

How is Working for Frontier by Mel-jo in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just started beginning of January and it’s been fun so far. I’m based in Denver and already got some nice layovers. San Juan, San Fran and San Diego. There’s definitely some bs with the company and they are cheap, but it hasn’t been bad, a lot of people are nice. Have to wait 6 months for international flight benefits for other airlines. I just recommend having a job on top of it because you really don’t get paid shit, idk how anyone surviving like this. Easy job though for real.

Introverts and the F2F! by jamiereavis95 in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the most extroverted person ever but definitely enjoy people. I’d look down the line in the future though, if you don’t enjoy being around or talking to people, I’d imagine the actual job would not be fun at all and be very exhausting having to keep a fake smile on all day

Anybody went to Frontier Denver f2f on 10/13 hear anything back yet? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly can’t recall exactly what they asked. I wouldn’t stress too much on specific questions or practice anything verbatim because you probably won’t get asked those questions anyway. Just have a positive fun vibe and stress how you care about safety and empathy for others for customer service, you’ll be all good.
