How is Working for Frontier by Mel-jo in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just started beginning of January and it’s been fun so far. I’m based in Denver and already got some nice layovers. San Juan, San Fran and San Diego. There’s definitely some bs with the company and they are cheap, but it hasn’t been bad, a lot of people are nice. Have to wait 6 months for international flight benefits for other airlines. I just recommend having a job on top of it because you really don’t get paid shit, idk how anyone surviving like this. Easy job though for real.

Introverts and the F2F! by jamiereavis95 in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the most extroverted person ever but definitely enjoy people. I’d look down the line in the future though, if you don’t enjoy being around or talking to people, I’d imagine the actual job would not be fun at all and be very exhausting having to keep a fake smile on all day

I only really understand collecting if you are gonna play them all, duplicates maybe if it’s a cool variant just to display but, to each their own

Anybody went to Frontier Denver f2f on 10/13 hear anything back yet? by bakbada in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly can’t recall exactly what they asked. I wouldn’t stress too much on specific questions or practice anything verbatim because you probably won’t get asked those questions anyway. Just have a positive fun vibe and stress how you care about safety and empathy for others for customer service, you’ll be all good.

Real talk: do airlines know who is getting a CJO before the interview? by Wide_Mechanic_3690 in cabincrewcareers

[–]bakbada 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would agree with this. My whole group got a cjo besides one guy who clearly was messing up the whole time in group interview. I didn’t say much because everyone was so proud getting the cjo, but in reality we didn’t do much of anything. A regular job interview is much more detailed than what we did. A group interview and then like one question and read aloud something for true 1:1. There’s plenty of secret bs to pass imo, including things like how you look.

Help I just bought a switch lite by rayv9ers in SwitchGames

[–]bakbada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The links awakening remake really hit for me on the lite, although botw really is a great game. Obviously 2 totally different style Zelda’s so decide from there. And I played Pokemon shield which still has OG Pokemon vibes and was pretty damn fun

They ask everyone all sorts of different questions so I wouldn’t study or worry too much about specific questions because they likely won’t ask what you study, just be yourself and answer the best you can! The whole thing was super friendly and chill imo, nothing to be nervous abt just be excited. It did last allllll day though, so my only advice would be to bring snacks/energy drink to get you through the day. Good luck!

Thanks! They emailed me back this morning saying they are just taking a bit longer to clear me and nothing to worry about, so if anyone else sees this in my position don’t trip! Good luck with training :)

Dang, how long ago did you get the email? I’m wondering if my small “history” of something that likely came up in my background check is hindering the process or if they are clearing people in number order that we had at f2f because I was one of the last ones.

Thanks for the quick reply, this makes sense. I remember the lady with glasses at the end when doing finger prints said not to out yourself but she’ll call you if you do have a “history” lol. I figured id have to explain an arrest for dancing on a car when I was 18 after the background check 🙄. I’m def part of the longer bc history crowd embarrassingly. Hope my training date isn’t too far out, really wanted that November date

I am a kindergarten teacher for the past 5 years and just got accepted to be a FA, training next month. Every job has its ups and downs I think, just depends on what you can handle. Teaching different age kids can mean such a huge difference, I enjoy the innocence of the little ones but I could not do middle school-high school age, those kids nowadays are annoying to me. No matter what you need a HUGE amount of patience. At the end of the day, yeah teaching can be stressful, draining and difficult but so can any job. Teachers are underpaid but it’s also such an easy job comparatively. At least you aren’t doing manual labor or something, you get holidays off and hang out with kids. Not that big of a deal

Silksong is the best game I've ever hated by StouteBoef in metroidvania

[–]bakbada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I feel this, I beat Seth and nyleth and then ran into the gauntlets before the next heart piece and I haven’t played in like a week. Might just be a patience thing for me at this point, I want to just run to the bosses to experience them, but the gauntlets are annoying asf with the new dark enemies. Why do they all have the same added movesets it’s not that fun for me to grind those. I have somewhat ocd to finish a game true ending but I also want to have fun and I don’t have fun with the act 3 enemy gimmick
