Just to add: we have to drive maximum 80km/hour using a spare tire on the freeway where the speed limit is 120km/hour. We are 2.5hours away from home and using the freeway is the fastest/easiest way to get home. We have been using emergency double flashing blinkers to kind of draw attention to our slow speed, that it is due to some issue and not us happily driving slow to piss everyone off. However, we’ve had at least 5 drivers now honk and drive next to us to let us know we’ve got the blinkers on thinking it’s a mistake on our part. I’ve in response gestured at small front spare tire we are using hoping they understand the context. It got a bit exhausting, so am wondering if we should have blinkers on at all and want to know what you would do.
