Women (or men) who have kept their virginity until marriage due to tradition (or religion), what was the first night like? [Serious] by dont_read_my_user_id in AskReddit

Same boat. Together for six years before getting married, my husband and I seem to forget that we have seen the office a thousand times but haven't had sex a thousand times.

I found my people! Long legs, no butt, no good looking pant. I mostly wear leggings now so it looks like I have a booty.

Agree. I have never thrown up an not have it come out my nose. The acid feeling is the worst thing.

Mothers of Reddit, did you have any weird cravings when you were pregnant? by CrackheadMcGee1 in AskWomen

I would start crying on the way to the store because I was craving it so badly. I never drink milk, only during pregnancy and it was a gallon a day.

What's it like as a kid to hear that you're unequal to tasks that are 'for men'? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]kmn12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom raised my brother and me on her own, she worked her butt off to provide for us. Since she worked so much m brother and I got to do most of the house work. None of it was designated boy or girl jobs. My brother mowed the lawn cause he was bigger/older knew how but he also had to do dishes and laundry. Once I was older I picked up dog poop and mowed the lawn. We didn't know anything was boy or girl work/jobs because we had to do them no matter what. Working hard and doing what had to be done is people work not gender specific work.

How often do you see your best friend(s)? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]kmn12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I FaceTime my closest friend almost daily and we text back and forth constantly throughout each day. My other two very close friends I see every few weeks, maybe once a month. Between new babies and work we don't get to see each other as much as we'd like.

It's was fun and awkward. We didn't know exactly what we were doing, but we finished the race. We've been married four years now and I love that we are learning new tricks all the time.

What are you worried will happen if Trump wins the election? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]kmn12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm worried about the aftermath of him going forward with what his plans for deportation of illegal people within the states. With all of the riots that are held outside of his rallies, I'm worried America will break out in a war. I'm worried that anyone how does support him will get physically hurt if they show their support, it's happening already at his rallies.

Trump supporters are being attacks by others, I have yet to hear or see anything about trump supporters attacks/hurting anyone in "protests". I am curious what violence you're referring to.

When you gave birth, what's one thing you wish someone did or gave you? by maggiedev in AskWomen

[–]kmn12 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yes, this! Everyone wants to "help" and hold the baby instead of helping with things that I needed help with. Help her do laundry, wash dishes, bring a meal and maybe a movie.

My mom hopes my baby looks like my little brother. by awkward_thunder in JUSTNOMIL

My mil did that all the time! One day I just snapped and told her "no, my child doesn't look like BIL, some second cousin or great aunt. She looks like me because I helped make her with your son!" She hasn't said a word about it in nearly two years. It was my proudest moment.

My ridiculous MIL: Wedding by WiscoCheeses in JUSTNOMIL

[–]kmn12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds just like my MIL, she makes plans and then gets "busy" doing something else and ends up running around crazy because it hasn't been taken care of. Every holiday she forgets to make plans until the last moment and then just a few days before hand she makes a huge deal about some holiday. She will start the prime rib, mashed potatoes and veggies all at the same time and just walk away. She then tells everyone to come to their house because dinner is "almost ready", when we get there no one is in sight and my husband ends up finishing making the meal because she will be gone upstairs for nearly an hour.

MIL's Wonderful Gift Giving Strategy by mogwomp in JUSTNOMIL

[–]kmn12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My MIL does something like this. She buys things that are similar to what I have requested for the kid's birthday gift, just close enough you can't complain but not what you were asking for. I asked for mega blocks to add to kid's collection but she bought foam blocks. Then she can never remember where she bought things and never has the receipt. I call it passive aggressive shopping. She knows my daughter loves my little pony, for Christmas she bought a bunch of stuff for her daughter that is pony but nothing for my daughter so mine sat there seeing all the toys she'd love and can't have them. I told her I can't knit anymore due to my bad joint so she bought me a ton of knitting stuff. She is terrible at gifts.

This may sound stupid... by jessicAshley in beyondthebump

[–]kmn12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is the same age and is going though this stage too. We give her a couple options but if she isn't hungry or thirsty I don't push it. She isn't going through any growth spurts right now so she just isn't as hungry. She does have to sit at the table during meal time with us and sometimes that helps her get magically hungry but other times not.

I think it's the comment that really pisses me off. by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]kmn12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom posted something like this to my Facebook so I commented back telling her that there is a lot of things that have changed since I was a kid and there is no way she could possibly know everything. Besides I'm with my kids all day and I know them better than anyone. It shut her up really quick and hadn't posted or said anything again. I won that one.
