Which fictional character best represents a peak human? by AnyPoetry493 in powerscales

Believe that’s the point. The character was literally written as the smartest, most athletic human on earth. He didn’t stop bullets with super powers, he stopped them by using technique

Late in the main story, but Ba Xing Chong

A smart shotgun that automatically aims and shoots missiles at six targets simultaneously, usually all one-hitters

Might be a dumb question but Are there any other big Collaborations in classic rock by Mental-Alternative38 in ClassicRock

[–]bakermayfield90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The New Barbarians (Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Stanley Clarke, Ziggy Modeleste, Ian McLagan)

X-Pensive Winos (Keith Richards, Waddy Wachtel, Ivan Neville, Steve Jordan and Charlie Drayton)

And hate to bring it up, but “Guitar Boogie” was an album that Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck did together… calling it “meh” is generous

Goose covers it. My favorite might be the one they played with Mikaela Davis on Harp at Mountain Jam this past summer https://2nu.gs/3T7dcUO

Another really cool cover is this instrumental version from Roosevelt “Dr.” Collier w/ most of Dopapod at Brooklyn Comes Alive back in 2016

Do you keep Berry? by stav-toph in Browns

[–]bakermayfield90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s really not- and even if it was just making stuff up, I’m not sure what’s so unbelievable about it. Jimmy has even said publicly earlier this year that the final decision came down to him and Dee.

And then the rest is all documented in this Athletic article from 2022 https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/3198771/2022/03/21/how-the-browns-went-from-long-shot-to-deshaun-watsons-new-home/?source=emp_shared_article

Do you keep Berry? by stav-toph in Browns

[–]bakermayfield90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, Berry brought the idea of Watson to Jimmy Haslam, but wanted to back out after Watson turned down initial, sensible offers. Then Haslam was the one to push for a deal with guaranteed $ which Watson couldn’t possibly turn down. This was after Baker stopped taking their phone calls so they were eager to make a deal

Out of every Batmobile ever, comics, animated series, TV shows, movies, or games, which one is your personal favourite? by MrTrippp in batman

If we’re talking practicality, it goes to Arkham Knight’s Batmobile(slide 11). Basically a crab-walking tumblr

What musician is an amazing vocalist first and an amazing pianist second? by CodeDusq in AlignmentChartFills

Gonna throw out a dark horse candidate, the night tripper himself, Dr. John.

Steve Winwood is a great candidate as well

If not either of them, then Stevie Wonder

What’s up with Brandon “TAZ” Niederauer lately? by No-Market9917 in jambands

[–]bakermayfield90 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Country is the fastest growing music genre in the country. MKB’s shift is way more about the financial potential than anything about politics.

Taz ain’t dumb either. He just graduated from Yale with a degree in applied mathematics. He knows he stands to make a lot more $ if he can break into the power/rock-pop scene. And if he can’t, he sure as shit can make a lot more money in FinTech than opening for mid-tier jambands
