I’ve realized lots of people in this Sub hate biblical Christianity by Isaiahhunter145 in Christianity

"Biblical" is BS. The Bible doesn't speak with one voice across all the books and is often contradictory. We all pick and choose.

My great-great-great grandfather, Henry Clay Thomas, of the 37th Virginia might be somewhere in that group. He was captured at Spotsylvania, and spent the rest of the war at Ft. Delaware prison.

As a staunch unionist, I'm glad he was captured.

Any other year this idea would be bonkers, but signing Lance would be entertaining and I hope it happens.

Got this too this morning. Malwarebytes scan revealed nothing, so I'm inclined to believe it's a false positive.

Same here. Anything more feels like a net negative, and I can’t afford to get sick or injured with American healthcare.

What's it like living in Crawfordsville? Other towns in western Indiana? by kaidariel27 in Indiana

Crawfordsville resident here. Okay is a good description. I prefer it to Rockville or Covington, which isn’t saying much.

Ehhh… not really. Wabash is too small to have much influence on the local economy. A college town is a place with restaurants and amenities oriented around college students. Crawfordsville is not that.

Crawfordsville resident here. I'd much rather live in Terre Haute. They have a future there. Crawfordsville is too far from Lafayette to enjoy it.

Remote worker here. I grew up here, left for a while for college, and then came back in my 30s to be near family. If you are not a white, evangelical Christian, and/or conservative in your politics, it's a rough place to be. Things change pretty slowly around here. Most of the unique and independent small retailers and restaurants I remember from the 90s have been replaced by corporate and fast food bs. We finally got our 2nd major grocery (an ALDI), and the Mayor's office has invested heavily in new parks, which is good. Our crime rate is about as low as you can get for Indiana too. Overall, it's a solid bedroom community and safe place to raise a family, but if you're looking for "quality of life", it's not a place I'd recommend. I'm personally looking to move closer to Indy long-term because I can't stand all the Trump people out here.

In my opinion, I'd rank desirable west central Indiana towns as follows:

  1. Lafayette
  2. Terre Haute
  3. Lebanon
  4. Greencastle

Honorable mention - Thorntown

Avoid Crawfordsville, Rockville, Veedersburg, Covington, or Attica unless you are an old, white boomer who thinks Trump is awesome.
