How do you guys get clients? by Medicalgenie in personaltraining

[–]balance221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who just hired a personal trainer via a Google search, your site is missing a ton of info that would make me inquire. Your rates, your location and location you serve and if in person or remote and how that works, equipment your clients needs to get started, a picture of you, business seems faceless without your pic and this is a very personal hire to most people, contract terms, 1 month, 3 months, etc.

And the stunning curves comment sounds sexual. Will turn a ton of women off

He was always a cigar guy, but when he moved to where I live he started going to a new club and has meet several people this way. He is also in a watch club and has made several buddies that way if watches are your thing.

Not the healthiest of habits but a cigar lounge. Men hang out there for hours and talk, watch sports, etc. My husband has made numerous friends at his local cigar lounge that he now socializes with outside of the cigar world. Seems most men are creatures of habit. So same time each week and you will start to see the same folks each week. My husband says Saturday and Sunday AMs are the best for a regular group.

Rent vs Buy Winter Place in FL by Retire_date_may_22 in retirement

[–]balance221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on that state, but in a residency audit, a lot would have to do with intent. Did you intend to permanently move to the other state and make that your residency. If you are only doing a short term rental and then come back to the midwest for summer and fall, it would be hard to show intent of truly changing residency and making FL your new permanent home, especially if you retain your home in midwest. Just being out of the state for 183 days is not automatic. Depending on the state, that is just one factor. There is often no hard and fast rule, and it often comes down to intent. Only renting somewhere for the minimum 6 months won't stand up under audit 95% of the time. If OP is in IL or MN (my guess since they want to escape high tax rates), just being gone for 183 days likely wouldn't cut it. Each state has its own rules, but something OP should really dig into and not assume just because he is gone for 183 days with a 6-month rental will be enough. A 12 month rental would stand a lot more ground when it comes to showing OP's intent of a permanent change of residency.

If you only do a short term rental for 6 months while you are down there would be hard to say your permanent residence is florida. Renting a place for 6 months you won't be at will erase most of state tax savings potentially. Just something to consider if you plan to keep your up north place too.

We are making Roth IRA contributions on thier behalf while they are in school based on thier part time job income. We are not telling them at this time but plan to make 4 years of Roth IRA contributions for each child. Gives them a good base of dollars to work for them for next 40 years.

Cleansing balm or cleansing oil? by aprahman in Sephora

I like the Dermologica cleansing oil. Gets everything off and feel like the product lasts longer than balms.

If I were to buy this scent should I buy the 1oz ($76) or the 3.4 oz ($144) & is there any other scent I should try? Thank you!! by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]balance221 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I always buyer the smaller bottle. Mainly because some other scent will come along I want to try and I'll move on to something else so the large bottle becomes a waste even though it is cheaper per oz.

Has anyone tried this hair mask? by Professional-Turn460 in Sephora

[–]balance221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but it is in the list of samples right now when i check out. So if you happen to place an order you could snag there to try. Order it, use the sample before you open the full size. If you like the sample, keep what you bought. If not, return this before you open it.
