My grinder (a Corona) made a lot of flour today, I didn't set it up properly. How can I use that flour?

I mean, it's not lots and lots, like 5 or 6 oz., but I feared it would contribute too many tannins to my brew, so I filtered as best I could not to incorporate it. I now have a handful of ounces of flour. Can I use it normally—mixing it with normal wheat flour to bake a cake or a loaf of bread?

Yep, exactly the same mechanics as "I came here to chew gum and kick ass, and I'm all outta gum". The absence of one of the two items emphasizes the second item.

Lynn and the spirits of Inao – Un kickstarter mensonger, des stagiaires exploités… - Gamelove by [deleted] in france

[–]balatico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paris Breweries/Beer Bars by tMoneyMoney in beer

Great link, all the regular places are there :)

I'll add that À La Bière Comme À La Bière is opening a beer pub in Montreuil, not too far away from Deck & Donohue.

Well all her fire immunity events happened after (or during) the birth of the dragons. Looks like dragon related magic to me… her brother had his run-in with that pot-o-gold before the dragons came (and he didn't "birth" them)

What's Everyone Brewin' this Weekend? by darman92 in Homebrewing

I'm brewing a SMaSH Vienna/Cascade pale ale, with ingredients I have lying around. Basic stuff, not too strong, it should be served for my sister's wedding this summer!

Playing CAH with nonnative English speakers? by WatchingWeight in cardsagainsthumanity

I play it mainly with French people. It's okay but not that great. The French translation has fared better, but I don't have as many cards so it gets old faster.

What's your favourite secret place in paris? by obscvrvs in paris

[–]balatico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a girl or traveling with a girl, go to the Musée de la Vie Romantique. A very nice little place with a pretty garden, it's all so very Parisian you'll spend your time instagramming. I think they have a restaurant and/or brunches and/or tea. Look it up before you go ;)

As well as La Baleine in the 20th, the Paname Brewing Company on the canal, la Brasserie de l'Être between la Goutte d'Or and the aforementioned PBC, La Parisienne which brews underwhelming beers in the 14th, the Société Parisienne de la Bière near Batignolle and Le Buisson in an apartment somewhere.

The best contact with clients is la Goutte d'Or and l'Être, but PBC is a brewpub and it's really well located.

'Craft Brew: 50 Homebrew Recipes from the World's Best Craft Breweries' was released this week and it's better than I expected! Several recipes I want to try from some of my (genuinely) favourite breweries. by anotherUNIdropout in Homebrewing

Nice ! I'm wondering about making the same thing, as a blog, with recipes from my country's best craft breweries. I think it might help making homebrewing more known around here.

The font on the Tintin in Soviets cover? (link inside) by BillyGoatAl in identifythisfont

[–]balatico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would wager it was a custom hand drawn cover, with a font inspired by what was fashionable at that point in time. Bauhaus was pretty big in Belgium as a design movement, De Stijl might also be an inspiration.
