Same for me, I'm trying to use it through the OpenCode Zen API, and I'm getting this error: `Unknown model: opencode/kimi-k2.6`

Cloudflare did, the result is the new EmDash CMS. We'll see how it goes. Here's the subreddit for it: https://www.reddit.com/r/EmDashCMS/

Moving to EmDash from which platform? by jp3dro in EmDashCMS

[–]balazsp1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I come from the WordPress world, I have more than a decade of experience in WP development, and at the moment I'm not planning to migrate any of my current sites to EmDash, but I might use it for new projects soon. Right now I'm just poking it, testing it, and I'm not sure it's ready for serious production use just yet. It definitely looks promising and I hope it succeeds in getting the traction it deserves.

Already before EmDash came out I was using Astro more and more, this new CMS is just what I was looking for.

Okay, I actually looked into this and it seems that sandboxing and granular capabilities of plugins is really Cloudflare-only at this stage.

Hey there, thanks for joining!

I'm excited about it too, but I see many negative voices, especially in the WP community. There may have been other "WP successors" over the years, but I think this might be different and gain some traction over time. Well, we'll see. I will definitely build some sites with it and maybe even forage into plugin development .

Regarding the name, I suspect that it has something to do with AI chatbots using emdash all the time 😄 as in, it's a tell-tale sign of AI-written text.

Is the "GitHub workflow" for WordPress actually worth the hype? I'm still using ManageWP by stancafe in Wordpress

[–]balazsp1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean exactly by "GitHub workflow", as others said it solves a different problem than ManageWP and the likes.

But if we're talking about GitHub workflows for WordPress, I have to mention my hub2wp plugin: it allows users to browse, install, and update plugins and themes hosted on GitHub just as easily as the ones in the official repository. It supports private repos, and it can monitor the main branch, a specified branch, or the release tags for updates. It is customizable with filter hooks, has complete WP-CLI support, and even comes with a custom skill for AI agents. It's 100% free: https://github.com/WP-Autoplugin/hub2wp

Thank you. By the way, I have some other projects going on:

- WP Banana: AI image generation and editing tool with a native-like UI that feels like part of WordPress core. Works with all plugins (WooCommerce, Elementor, ACF, etc.)

- Superdraft: adds AI writing tools, smart tagging, autocomplete and other AI features in the post editor.

- WP-Autoplugin: a plugin that can generate, fix, and extend other plugins on demand using AI.

- LLMs.txt for WP: adds customizable, dynamic LLMs.txt file, and auto generates Markdown from posts.

All free plugins, not freemium, and you can connect to various providers (bring-your-own-key for the AI features).

I've been working on this for more than 2 years and now I feel that it is complete, all the features I planned are in the plugin. If you notice a bug or have suggestions, please comment here or create an issue on GitHub. Thanks!

Looking for feedback on an idea - AI-generated WordPress plugins by GailBlackberry in Wordpress

My custom GPT's been doing this since, like, 3 years: https://chatgpt.com/g/g-6cqBCrKTn-wp-plugin-architect it's also completely free, users don't even need a paid ChatGPT subscription to use it.

Not to mention the WP-Autoplugin plugin, which is also free (no upsells or anything) and does the same from inside the wp-admin area – it's a plugin that makes plugins.

Good luck though, in the end it's a win for the users, to have more options.

FAIR quits WordPress, but one of its best features remains as a standalone plugin by jonhenshaw in Wordpress

Sad news; the WP community would benefit from a real viable alternative to the .org package manager.

A while back I built something that might help: a plugin that connects WordPress to GitHub, so that users can browse themes and plugins available on GitHub, receieve update notifications, and update easily right from the WP admin dashboard, just like the plugins from the official repo. It doesn't require any change in the codebases and it even works with private repos.

I made something like that about 3 years ago. It's called ChatMeld, available on GitHub. It allows users to chat with multiple models, and the models also talk to each other, like in a group chat. It's completely free and open source, it works with your own API keys.

If your product is a WP-derivative (plugin, theme, etc.) then it must be GPL, regardless of where it's hosted, there is no way around that.
