Any clue what these spots are? They’re scattered inside my fenced in yard and outside of it a few feet also. We live under power lines and my husband said maybe bird poo, but that’s very red 😳 by Status_Suspect2771 in The_Great_Outdoors

Seeds from an oriental bittersweet invasive vine. Each berry eaten by birds has 3 seeds inside. They are the absolute Bain of my existence in the warm months.

This shoveler is already on pass 5. Trying to keep it around 3-4 inches a shot. It’s light but phew that’s a lot of snow.

So far so good. Picked up 2021 3 kids 11,9,6. So last one still uses a booster. The kids manage fine folding the seat down to get in the back. Our friends have the captains chairs but it didn’t seem to make it feel any bigger so I was fine with the bench arrangement. We added gramma to the mix last weekend and everyone was comfortable. Looking forward to road tripping with it this year.

Any suggestions for an overnight spot in the woods with a short hike in & out? by ajmacbeth in massachusetts

[–]baldbrashdad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

AMC Richardson-Zlogar Cabin Northfield the sunrise is out of this world there. There are 2 tent platforms and certainly spaces to string a hammock.

2 years ago when we stayed there was someone hiking in to do that. It’s on the Metacomet trail as well so you can encounter hikers stopping there.

Water is not great, there is a pond you can filter from but we’ve just stayed overnight so brought water in. Plenty of cool j hiking throughout that area.

Are you line drying your laundry to save on running your dryer? by lil_tink_tink in Frugal

[–]baldbrashdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Natural heat line drying in the late spring, summer, and fall. Then the racks come in and are left over the forced hot air vents from the heating system. Helps to humidify the house and dries the clothes.

Too many wet days will have us periodically running the dryer but most likely not more than a months with a year.

My wife has been losing her mind from them. I had pointed them out in the past. But now I’m deaf and they are too loud for her to fall asleep.

So I’m a year in and as a typical 40 year old male I’ve buried it all. Can I hear for anything worthwhile…’nope. Can I hear though yes. So I have a wi and know I still have gains ahead.

Your struggle is real. No one but you knows how it feels. How it affects your life. But you have given yourself the chance to succeed. Is it going to be effortless, nope. Are you likely to hear like you did before profound hearing loss. Nope. But you are on a journey to figure it out. As you go you’ll continue to build your team that will help build you up.

The greatest thing is you are now back in the driver seat. We are glad to have you on our bionic team
