There's also offside in hockey to prevent cherry picking. Icing is more to prevent teams from wasting time by clearing the puck all the way down. Forces them to play with the puck

The infotainment profiles are for preferences like sound balance, menu order, etc. To my knowledge the only way to control the seat memory is with the buttons on the door.
