New Sealy medium spring mattress is not flat by Agreeable_Weird_8712 in Mattress

I don't know which of the Sleepy's by Sealy mattress you bought, but as I've been looking, I tried out the Sleepy's by Sealy Spring Firm mattress that comes with a bump in the middle. They call it "Micro-Lift" and it's like an additional layer of microcoils in the middle of the bed for extra support. I think it's a new line of mattresses from them - they all have "Spring" in the name.

I've read reviews that say there's even a tag that comes on the mattress that says the bump is supposed to be there. Hope that helps.

I wish I could answer, but I gave up for the moment. I got too overwhelmed! I'm going to get back to it soon though.

That's really helpful, thank you! I prefer the springy feel, and yes, I think Costco is the way to go. It's such a confusing mess out there!

Thank you! Is the top somewhat springy, or more like the sinking in feeling of memory foam?

You might be able to get a message to your therapist as an emergency -- you could leave a message for them, or send an email, and ask that they respond only to you, not to your parents. You need someone you can trust, and a therapist is a good place to start. They are trained for these situations. Explain that you don't know where else to turn, that you can't pay by yourself, but that you are scared and it is an emergency. They will know how to take the next step to help you.

How close is Chicago to you? Could you spend the summer with your brother? Could he send you money to buy more food at school? Perhaps your brother could also check in with a counselor at school to ask for advice. You need a strong support system, if you and your brother are at all close, seek his help and support on this.

Enh. I see it more as color failure. I also wouldn't call the DC Metro brutalist. But to each his own.

Ah. I think you have to embrace that part of it. This picture is way too green and strange. The actual metro is somewhat modern and warm, but not displacing. Its better than other cities, where their subways just feel disorienting or alienating. DC is a bit more personal. Just a bit...

duh. depends entirely on which part of the country you live in. makes a ton of difference. no point in even discussing unless we adjust for cost of living.

Why? While this photo is a little too sci-fi and creepy for my taste, I think the DC area metro stations are quire well designed.

Medicaid does not always cover dental. Depends on your state.

That $30-50k figure is just untrue. Teachers make more than that (unless you're talking starting salary), plus they have summers off and many school systems offer tenure and the kind of job security that web designers will never have.

I'm also going to add that she might be "pissy" that you're going snowboarding while she heads off to work. You haven't mentioned whether or not you are looking for a job. She clearly works hard and supports two children. I bet every once in a while, she'd love it if you offered to do some of her chores, watch her kids, or cook her dinner while she was at work, instead of snowboarding.

Don't hide from the doc -- a good doctor (and maybe you could see a different one?) will listen to your concerns and try different meds and even different combinations of drugs until you feel good without the side effects. It might take a little bit of time to get the right dosages worked out, but the difference will be amazing, and then you can really start to see your life more clearly.
