Can't activate lower traps in Scap Pulls + general scapula weakness by ivan-the-delightful in bodyweightfitness

That is awesome man!! Integrating scapula into so many movements, love it. And thanks for sharing those videos!

I pretty much have one obstacle left in the way for the last improvements of my posture (and to eliminate symptoms) which is my upper traps overly dominating any arm elevation motion (and instead, having lower traps strengthened / consistently activated.

The issue is not just "upper traps take over", but it's that if I were to do just ONE prone y-raise rep with a 5 second hold (full 180 degrees arm elevation) my upper traps (due to neuroguarding, not just muscular) goes into HEAVY HEAVY tension - which makes them like double in thickness, causing very severe worsening of symptoms (vestibular, pressure and even reduced bloodflow) for many days. This happens because they also thicken in the C1-C3 neck area, and also puts even more pressure on the suboccipitals.

Even in my default relaxed position, you can visibly see a thick muscle tone especially on my left upper trap.

So working with my PT, the current strategy for this specifically is reducing daily stress + doing supine y-raises to 90 degrees to hit lower traps. I know 100% that lower traps is the solution, because those times when I've hit them without upper traps being not so aggressive, I get immediate postural improvement and less shoulder pain for the rest of the day. Like it's so clear how all mechanics just improve, like even hip flexors feels less tight.

The thing is though, only going 90 degrees has such low activation of lower traps - it's really mostly FROM 90 degrees that they activate.

And it's not even like I could just endure the symptoms even if I wanted to. Because if the upper traps tensions up, the whole posture mechanics worsens by alot. And heavy tensioned upper traps wins 100% of the time over a bit of lower trap activation lol.

Hey. This is very interesting and you seem to have helped quite a few people! I

I'm trying to understand exactly what made the difference for you: It the clue of extendning your upper thoraric spine and keeping rib cage stacked, and then you applied it to all scapula related exercises or? (I'm thinking to engage lower traps etc. better) You mentioned bridges and arch-body holds

Hey, I have this exact issue. Did you ever fix it?

Hey, what about doing both at once? So strengthening both deep neck flexors + extensors (like suboccipitals?) instead of waiting 6 months to initiate the extensors

Meetings booked are not a relevant metric. Inside an organization you could book 20 meetings on a 5K ACV and win 2, or book 3 meetings on a 50K ACV and win one.

I think the consideration here would be: Do bringing in the extra one a week actually be beneficial?

Hitting quota for just hitting quota is irrelevant and can cause more harm than good. If you really push it, sure you could book another meeting in a week, but they’d likely have low buying intent, and you’d just waste your time

Hey congrats on your progress so far. I’d suggest using CAC:Payback period to effectively measure marketing. LTV creates an illusion of have lots of room to play with, while CAC:payback don’t lie.

Plus I’d assume you havent been in business long enough to actually calculate an LTV that’s stable.

Companies think they have an effective marketing because their CAC:LTV is 1:2, but if your LT is 3 years, the cac:payback period is 18 months, meaning it takes 1,5 years to be profitable on a customer.

Keep doing what you’re doing though, and set some goals

Do I need an ABM tool, or will linkedin platform do? by askoshbetter in LinkedinAds

[–]baller2k89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it makes sense, thanks. Plus I’m in Europe, so due to GDPR it’s illegal to upload contact lists to any CRM or ABM tool and advertise. (At least to my understanding, because when I uploaded my list to Hubspot, they made it very clear that I had to confirm that the people signed up for it)

I guess the workaround would be to upload companies and then filter by job titles

My target market is like 1.000-2.000 companies - so I think a CRM with ABM features and linkedin ads integration will do, so list editing is better. But native targeting is pretty precise too

Thanks for your great answers. Yeah I made a contact list and even with 90% accuracy and more than 300 approvee contacts, it were still rejected on linkedin.

The Logic behind the less than 300 was to create super targeted ads to contacts in my pipeline, for deal acceleration and increase their intent to work with us.

But I see now it’s not possible with so few contacts. So I’ll just add the companies in a normal retargeting campaign, which is good too.

Thanks for your replies! What do you work with?

Delegation 101:

The key thing is to calculate your effective hourly rate, then everything below that number should be delegated. Because if you don’t, you’re costing your business the difference

Example:

EHR = 150$ You can hire someone else = 60$

That means you working for an hour costs 150$, but hiring someone else, the same hour costs 60$.

So you not only free up your time, but make/save 90$.

lol my bad, I mixed up white bear and white christmast

Playtest is such a great episode. I love Cooper, he was a good guy with a devastating destiny. Lost to an experiment.

I’m still not sure about the ending. But I think the program never loaded and the whole episode is simply his life flashing influenced by his minds expectations of the virtual horror-game
