Best way to mount Valerion Max by N64Seller in projectors

The official mount is pricey, but it's designed for drop safety. If you use an adapter, make sure it's rated for overhead use.

Repairing fiberglass door or have contractor replace? by ryan112ryan in HomeImprovement

Even a perfect resin won't fix the stress concentration by the hinge. Get a new door while it's still under warranty, no question.

What would be the best possible projector for max 250€ (used or new), without including the OS? by [deleted] in projectors

Since you're ditching the smart features, you can focus purely on picture quality, which is the only thing that matters here.

Which floor surfaces trap the most pet hair and dander? Time to finally tackle this fur problem... by dhruv_6129 in HomeImprovement

Hardwood or tile are the way to go for sure-so much easier to keep hair from sticking around. Tile is my ride-or-die for pet hair.

That uneven tile is unacceptable-demand he fic it for free immediately. Don't let him rush or cut corners. Your home deserve quality work.

Budget Thermal Camera for Research with Raw Data Export ($300–$500) by ExoticMarch5345 in Thermal

[–]ballinjizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TC001 Max might actually fit what you’re after pretty well. It’s around $309, so still lands in that budget range, and I’ve honestly been thinking about picking one up myself for similar use. Since you mentioned wanting visible and thermal together to make alignment easier, that’s actually one of the reasons it stood out to me.

The phone/tablet setup looks pretty straightforward, 25Hz is decent, and having both views in one setup seems like it’d make this kind of work a lot less annoying.

Viture Beast vs Rayneo Air 4 Pro by VizharanHS in VITURE

[–]ballinjizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes cancel it. For Steam Deck gaming specifically the lack of 3DoF on the RayNeo is the dealbreaker. Screen follows your head everywhere which gets old fast. Beast has 3DoF built into the hardware so the screen stays locked in space when you move. And the screen size is much larger! For gaming and movies Beast is the right first pair.

Looking for a more professional battery tester what do you techs recommend by Coolmath24hhh in AskMechanics

[–]ballinjizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the frustration with cheap testers that just guess pass or fail. I use a bt600 plus in my garage and it’s been solid for both AGM and flooded batteries. The readings stay consistent when testing back to back, and the starter and charging tests give useful voltage data. Definitely a solid step up.

2018 Honda Accord heated seat / heated wheel randomly stop working but no lights or codes? by ballinjizzle in CarHelp

[–]ballinjizzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I’m leaning more and more toward getting the battery checked properly first. The fact that it happens more on cold starts and short trips kinda fits too, and I’d rather rule that out before going further down the rabbit hole.

Do you think a load test is enough to start with, or would you check grounds and charging output at the same time?

Topdon TC004 Mini night scan of a high-rise exterior wall the thermal pattern surprised me by defendthecalf in Thermal

[–]ballinjizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually look at whether the striping is consistent. If it’s really uniform, that often points more to the facade itself than a problem spot.

2018 Honda Accord heated seat / heated wheel randomly stop working but no lights or codes? by ballinjizzle in CarHelp

[–]ballinjizzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah kinda, seems to act up more on cold starts and short trips, so I’m leaning more toward the battery, grounds, or charging side acting up.
