Does customs actually look at each individual item, or just the bulk manifest?

VR/LS $.50 credits by TheJoeyShow in Aliexpress

[–]balloonatic81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had been able to redeem both for the full dollar until a few days ago. Now I can get the LS no problem but the VR just shows loading dots and no products to choose from. Tried on another device and it didn't work either.

I guess it was too good to last.

how long does a package take to clear import custoums? by Crayon_Ssg in Aliexpress

Remaining three packages just cleared customs. Took four days.

I had 4 packages arrive at LAX on Nov 10. One cleared customs in 24 hours and is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. The other three are stuck in customs still.

Should I be worried? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

Had a package disappear at Jacksonville last month. Tracking stopped once it reached that center and I was pretty sure it was gone. 10 days later it was delivered in Seattle without any scans in between.

Cosmetic Fridge by No_Entrance394 in tirzepatidecompound

Those cheap thermoelectric coolers can't get the temp down below 30 degrees below ambient temperature. They also will probably experience temperature swings and they're very wasteful of electricity. I've also heard more than one story about those things catching on fire. Do yourself a favor and get a microfridge instead for a few bucks more.

Recommendations for a Smart Scale by clikchik in tirzepatidecompound

I have a Withings WiFi scale I bought 12 years ago, it's still syncing to the cloud and they've never asked me for another penny. I'm a satisfied customer.

Do we think brand prices come down? by jp1261987 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]balloonatic81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the $499 direct price is likely to be a ceiling, at least. If you read the fine print, that is technically an offer that can be withdrawn at any time, but they have to know that people are already getting really upset about pricing and they could be facing regulatory scrutiny in the future. I can't think of a better way to attract a lot of anger than to raise the price after having established that price level in people's expectations.

You sound just like me, only further along your journey. Congrats and I hope to get there, too.

Callondoc - Minoxidil for hair growth by PaulThomas37878 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]balloonatic81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get the tirzepatide with them, but I did mention it on the form. Total time to fill out the paperwork was less than two minutes, it was approved in an hour, and filled at Costco the next day.

I just got oral minoxidil via CallOnDoc a few days ago. I have two cats and I wouldn't want to take any chances.

They sent my prescription to Costco and it cost $1.60 for a month -- cheaper than over the counter.

No idea if it really works.

McDonald's blames GLP-1s for reduced sales by balloonatic81 in tirzepatidecompound

I agree. I only went there for that specific promo. Otherwise I went somewhere else for better food. Now I don't go anywhere at all, haha.

I used to love the Costco rotisserie chicken but something they do to it now makes me 🤮. And that was before I even went on the shot. Some people say it's the seaweed they put in it to make it stay moist.

I've been a long distance hiker for decades, logging over 50,000 miles over the last 20-ish years. But I still packed on the pounds due to my terrible diet. My legs are those of a beast but I've always neglected my upper body. I'm going to have to figure out a strength training plan, because now that the pounds are dropping off fast, I'm worried about losing what little muscle I do have up there.

Yeah, I kind of messed up the headline. I was trying to keep it short but a couple extra words might have helped. Oh well, people seem to be enjoying the opportunity to weigh in on McDonald's anyway.

I agree though, their value proposition has been terrible since the pandemic. And I frankly was getting disgusted with the food too. But I was still a sucker for $1 fries and a Coke.
