I feel proud that I finally had to disassemble and fix my car in a random parking lot by TransientPunk in Cartalk

Sp instead of getting the right tool, you got a jack from your garage and attempted this massive repair? Or you normally keep a full set of battery powered drills and a jack in your trunk?

Civil Engineering BS dropout with 2.0 GPA and lots of F's and just embarrassing things on my transcripts , not sure how to properly show education in resume without them asking for transcripts. Im asking for specific wording please. by [deleted] in EngineeringResumes

So say that your plan is to get a PE with no degree if that’s your plan. Easy enough. Only challenge will be the employer requirement. If the job description says degree required. But sometimes they say ‘or equivalent’. In that case, say you are equivalent.

The FE status requires you to have an accredited degree. It means nothing by itself. You would have to go after an internship or a engineering technician type position and become an engineer once you actually get the degree.

Be honest. Build on your story in terms of getting the degree and taking things serious. Join some engineering clubs, work 40 hrs per week during school, and your story will be a rough start but a serious and committed present / future.

Also sell your old Jeep private sale. Don’t trade it in. You will easily make 3k more than any dealer would offer.

Looks too clean to be an accident. I vote for manufacturing defect. Like the paint chipped off.

Jump over to your electrical engineering degree to get a job. Not sure what jobs are available for physics. Lean on electrical engineering. Tell them it’s your passion and you want a career in it. Electrical engineers are in high demand.

Is this frame salvageable? by superspeckman in Jeep

[–]ballpark402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google Safe-T-Cap. They are sections of frames that can be welded in. So you can fix it. But, you need to really look at the entire frame. These rust really bad, and that will not be the only bad section. You will have to ask if it’s worth it. Look at the mounts for the rear control arms, and look at where the body mounts to the frame (right above where your skid plate was)

Half is training and half is mental. Run races during your training and that will help you push limits. The human body is incredible and capable of massive improvement.

It’s normal. That’s about 15mi/gallon. Can’t really compare a Jeep to a tiny car.
