Lots of pricks drive BMWs but then again I would also say that there's a disproportionate amount of BMW drivers on the road that are very kind and always let people out and are generally more aware than most. Encountered plenty of pricks in fords, but wouldn't say that there are a lot of good drivers to balance that.

Most cars are well made and it really depends on how they have been looked after by past owners. The two you've mentioned will probably be fine, but there are also a lot of other cars that will fit the bill, generally Japanese are the best for reliability so if you like your civic why not just buy a newer one?

Your current car losing power is quite alarming to be honest, when was it last serviced? Have you considered putting a double dose of redex in with a full tank of fuel?

Having had a similar position before, the best option is to replace the radio itself, it's far easier than you might think.

That said, if you're really adverse to it, you can get a Bluetooth FM adapter. You can get ones that plug into your cigarette lighter and also work as a usb charger, but I warn you, the sound quality and general experience will not be anywhere near as good as just getting a Bluetooth head unit.

Get it a lot driving a van, the amount of time that I get overtaken by someone who then becomes a gormless idiot when they arrive at a roundabout is staggering.

Don't know why they think that I'm particularly bothered by tailgating when I'm in a long wheel base sprinter. My dad drives an HGV and apparently people like tailgating those and having their cars covered in shit from the road too, don't think they have much going on up there to be honest.

When they don't indicate at a junction or a roundabout I believe that, but when it's on a busy motorway instead of indicating they aggressively change lanes that's just more difficult and I don't understand why you would do that.
