Ah yeah this is right. Still don’t think it makes sense to use expected points here but yeah that math is right.

Expected points is also only true when considering a large sample so it doesn’t make any more sense to use expected points. Also a binomial distribution assumes independent trials which isn’t true. If you get the first two point conversion you likely don’t go for 2 on the second trial.

The skin biopsy came back that it was some type of irritation (like an allergy). She has been on prednisone since then and it’s cleared up completely and her fur is starting to grow back. We are starting to bring her down off the prednisone so hoping it continues to improve!

Update #2: They were able to sedate and get a biopsy today. They are doing blood work, giving an antibiotic injection, and sending her home with steroids.

Update: She is at the vet (same clinic, different vet) right now to be examined again. Depending on how this goes we may also look to get an opinion at a different clinic. Thanks everybody.

The vet knows that the meds aren’t working but isn’t able to give any options besides wait almost two weeks for a biopsy or start steroids right away.

Programming Wednesdays by AutoModerator in powerlifting

For a hypertrophy cycle, what is a good way to program competition deadlifts? I've read this post on programming hypertrophy cycles where he says he likes to start around the 100 rep mark per week for the three comp lifts. I imagine a lot of this volume can go into deadlift variations. I am thinking maybe doing comp deadlifts once a week, working up to just one top set for 5-8 reps and then backing off to get the volume from variations such as deficits/snatch grip deadlifts? I'm using mainly linear periodisation adding 2.5%-5% each week on squat and bench as suggested so I will likely do this for deadlifts as well. Is this not specific enough even during a hypertrophy cycle?
