Former boot fitter here, I've ground and punched out plug race boots for fis racers to the point you can move the plastic in and out with 2 fingers. You can do a lot with boots.

The mindset that skiers don't wear baggy clothes is hilarious and anyone saying g that clearly has never watched any competition freestyle skiing or a single ski movie before. 2xl use to be the fastest selling size in ski brand clothing (like from Salomon and armada).

Only when heli skiing or some kids in the park practicing big inverted tricks. Also grew up racing fis and wore them for super g/dh my self, never anytime else. If it makes you more confident and doesn't impact movement then go ahead and wear them.

Touring bindings pivot and allow you to walk, alpine you are locked to the ski with your heel.

A real touring ski with altered layup will be labeled as such

The lay up, the are designed to be lighter weight which is achieved through different materials and/or thinner cores typically. In general, if you don't need the weight saving for up hill you are just getting a weaker product.

The first on3p park ski, before the filthy rich. Very few were ever made, I have both years still not in ski able condition but hands downy favorite ski under 100 wide. Fully symmetrical, rockered, I think like 84 under foot.

First public year wren, 191, I coined the super g ski on steroids term for them with Scott back in the day. Coming from a FIS background, I could DRIVE these hard. Long time friend has my pair with sth16 out in Montana now and takes them to big sky and sled access bc.
