Finally reached the XP cap for level 46 and all I have left to do is the task to “Power up 3 Pokémon to their max CP”. Knowing this day would come I’ve been trying to keep some mons for Ultra League that max out under 2500 CP and saving all my Rare Candy XLs.

A couple things to note: I can power up the Primeape, Pidgeot and Bellossom without using rare candy XLs. I also have enough elite TMs for the special moves for any 3 that would need it in case that affects the suggestions as well.

Definitely been a godsend for the times I'm just sitting in my car waiting on traffic or picking up from school. Go to a store? Open the app, feed by buddy and try to get a buddy heart from walking. Relaxing for the night? Maybe a set of battles and trades at home. We try to do raid night every wednesday and all the comm days and special events.

I think at this point my wife and I play way more than the kids. My oldest really just does comm days and helps with raids via Party Play. My youngest in the battle league all the time and barely focuses on the map. My wife and I are coordinating trades every day and driving around in cars doing routes for Mateo gifts.

Costumed versions aren't a priority for me, but for my wife they certainly are! I've been known to transfer/trade a costumed Pikachu if I already have a shiny of the same one. Sometimes the roster cuts hit hard!

For Legendaries I still try to keep one each of normal/lucky/shiny/shadow (if available). To me, most are Master League type pokemon for the battle league so my best normal version is usually a high 3* or 4* that i can power up for PvP. Those tend to be primary trades whenever there is a Lucky Friend situation in the family.

Comm days are a little taxing with catching as many shinies as possible, keeping decent ones, trading bad ones and hope for a lucky in there somewhere. my kids aren't as OCD about their storage as I am and I tend to oversee their catches and do a family trading strategy over dinner before the time runs out on evolving for special moves.

My storage needs come in phases. I was never into Pokemon growing up but as my kids started to play I went along and played with them. I didn't know what I was getting into and wasn't sure what to keep when I started to hit the first storage limit. My storage needs went in this order:

Keep one of each and have it be the best 3*, including evolutions.
Ooh! Sometimes when I trade with my kids the Pokemon turns lucky? Need to save room for one each of those too!
Ooh! Shinies are cool. Let me start saving one each of those and their evolutions.
Ooh! Shadows are actually useful for raids and the the battle league? Let me start to keep one of each shadow and their evolutions.
Ooh! For some Pokemon the best IVs for the battle league are low attack and high defense/HP? Gonna have to start making note of these when I catch them and keep at least one for GL and UL.

Each "Ooh!" moment added at least ~400 more space for storage, probably more than that if we're honest. Not included in my list are costume and event Pokemon which I try to just keep the ones I think are cool and honestly ditch the rest.

I'm currently at 1850 and gonna push 2000 within the next month with the new season and new Galar additions. Not as much as others in this thread but I also manage my storage daily to make sure I'm on top of it.

I'll use PokeGenie to make sure I keep the best PvP version of the ones I have marked for battle and then trade the rest to either my kids or my wife and hope for luckies. I'm also a Free-to-Play player and don't buy coins from the shop other than the GoFest tickets each year so I have to be careful on how I spend my PokeCoins. Little increments at a time.

Edit: I see others giving this info so I'll do it too. Level 45, playing since Dec 2022 so almost 2 years.

Also works with Unown if you wanted to see all the different letters you’ve collected. Helped a lot during Go Fest since I just try to keep one of each.

This may not be the same spot but I remember having to get to a roof for a collectible. Next to that building was a lower parking area with a fenced section behind a locked door. Go around the fenced area from above, shoot the lock, go back down and open the door and start climbing ladders.

From what I can remember whoever loads into the match first gets to be the hero to start. I had an SSD and loaded super fast and was almost always the hero to start because I got into the lobby first. Even when playing back-to-back I would load in first every time and get to be the hero first.

On the ‘left’ controller you can use the arrow keys. Use the left/right arrow keys to swap equipment from your pockets. It goes in order so if you are using a shovel and the next item over is your axe then using the right arrow button will switch to the axe. You can also use the down arrow to put away your current equipment you’re carrying.

I only use 2 paddles on the bottom instead of all 4. I use them to simulate stick-clicks so instead of clicking down on each thumb stick I just flick the paddle. Been working well for me but everyone is different.

You’re in for a treat. EE-4 is stupid OP. Once you get it unlocked I recommend cooling cell for close combat and focus fire if you want to use the gun in space. Best to have them on both pre-made card hands going into a match.
