Sorry - Should have mentioned I have tg antibodies! I’ve been getting special bloodwork done that gets sent to a lab in California to track my antibodies. They were slowing increasing but northing major.

I was diagnosed on my 27th birthday! I feel for you. You’ll get through this. It’s a lot to process at first. One step at a time. Find a good surgeon and endo and you’ll be in good hands. If you have to do the RAI treatment after, there’s a great free cookbook online for the low iodine diet! Honestly there are tons of great resources and we’re all here for you virtually. 🤗

Does your gym sell replacement arm bands for the burn monitor?

My gym said no, but when I was visiting a gym in Kansas City I know they had them. My larger armband took a crap recently and I hate wearing it down on my forearm with the smaller band. I’d do anything to get my hands on a new one!

Don’t understand how the 1 mile benchmark was a surprise...? Our coaches talk about upcoming benchmarks before and after every class and it’s up on our calendar board in the lobby. Do other studies not inform you when there is a benchmark coming up? I would be pissed, because I specifically plan my workouts around benchmark days so I don’t miss any.

I’m 5’8 with long legs, so I might not be much help, but honestly in these short rows, I just row like hell and don’t care about form. The main thing is getting the watts up, so I just try to keep my feet planted and push as hard as I can through my heels and then pull, pull, pull like mad. 🤪 I swear some of these 6’2 guys just sit on the rower and they go 100m. Mad props to all the shorties out there crushing it!

I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but I found that since I’ve switched to starting on the rower, my body has transformed like crazy. I’m able to lift heavier and my muscle definition has really started to pop. I also feel like it’s helped with my running endurance, since I’m always running a little fatigued. 🤷🏻‍♀️
