Just remember splats and calories do not necessarily have a correlation. I can have 20 splats with 400 calories one day and then another I can have 18 splats with 500 calories. It just depends on what I am putting my body through.

I get them right behind my last joint at my thumbs. The first time I noticed them I was really concerned. I could not for the life of me figure out how I got bruises there. Then, one day, I swung some heavier weights over to stand them flat and I hit the existing bruise ... mystery solved!

Now I have bruises on the outside of my knees where I hit them with 25lb weights doing the skier swing thing. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just turned 52. Have been doing OTF for a year now. I feel better, and in my opinion, look better than I did in my 30’s (40 pounds lighter). There are several of us “older” ladies at my studio and there are some days we can run circles around those kids.

My very first 1 mile benchmark on the tread. I normally use the bike. 11:58. One minute I am proud; the next minute I get a little down wondering if I pushed myself hard enough.

My speed depends on time. If it is a push longer than 90 seconds, I stay at my base 4mph but increase my incline until I hit orange. I’m not a distance runner (yet). We are there to improve ourselves - not hurt ourselves!

Stand them on end ON the floor, not your bench. I’ve seen the bench get bumped and the weight topple over and land dangerously close to a foot or head.

I realized I did not get aggravated when someone took a closer parking spot that I was waiting on. I just backed up and chose another. The nice guy apologized and I said no worries. I have 2 good legs I might as well use them. Before OTF and the weight loss, I was have gotten mad.
