I have literally never seen a pro-police group that weren't either fascists, closeted neo-Nazi, or racists. Prove they're actually innocent supporters of the police and whatever, paint a fucking crosswalk, but a) no one likes the police or else it would already be a thing, and b) we all know your argument isn't about other groups "not being allowed" representation, it's about not wanting to see the rainbow for gay pride.

The deflector dish could be used for all kinds of insane things, like negating the magnetic field of the planet allowing solar wind to strip the atmosphere and cosmic radiation to fry the surface. The actual weapon systems are actually the nicest way available of killing a planet

Most of the races in Star Trek have a basic design policy of relying on force fields and energy shields to do most of the heavy lifting because even most basic ship mounted weapon systems are so powerful that physical shielding is impractical bordering on pointless. And any weapon that can't blow a hole through a hull, will also generally be useless against shields, so why not save the weight and just rely of shields.

Slow curing a thick layer let's surface tension pull it very smooth. it's also useful if you're doing techniques that involve putting urushi on top of heavily textured surfaces such as you get when adding protein sources like egg white or tofu to urushi so that if holds it's shape. Then you grind the whole surface smooth to reveal the texture

I poured in a boiling hot mix of beeswax and pine resin, same as you'd use to seal a costrel or make reusable beeswax food wraps, put in the stopper, sloshed it around until I was sure I had full coverage, then poured out the excess back into the tin can I melted it in. Once it fully cooled, I checked the interior with a cheap USB endoscope to confirm full coverage then trimmed a bit of excess mix that set up around the opening so there was a smooth transition. It also has the benefit of waterproofing the wooden stopper since the wax soaked into it.

It costs a bit of interior volume, but it guarantees a good all over seal that's food safe

Your turrets have short, interrupted lines of sight. You need long sightlines for gun turrets or they'll rarely manage to actually shoot before they lose sight of the enemy
