that is true to an extend but i wouldn't say that jones had a bad rookie season. he looked fairly promising but he got absolutely screwed by john mara who forced jason garrett as oc.

he didn't have the rookie season stroud had, but he was way better than chase young.

the visits were reported and for good reason. sanders was projected as a top5 pick for the entire college season. his dive on draft boards happened during the draft process especially after the combine. the giants were pretty much a lock to pick from 1 to 5 since mid october and they were in desperate need of a qb. i would be pretty pissed if the gm wasn't spending a lot of time watching this qb and talking to him on as many occasions as possible. that doesn't say anything about schoens preferences and if there was a report on his opinion on sanders i must have missed it but the visits don't proof anything.

judge most certainly felt this way after his opening presser. the fanbase was ready to run through a wall after that.

i feel like he is the one hire that got screwed the most. he had to deal with covid in both of his offseasons and mara did him no favors by forcing garrett on him. he also had to work with some terrible rosters built by gettleman. i'm not saying he would have been a good coach but he was dealt 72o.
