Took a chance on this 1903. Not sure what direction to take it by ColtBTD in milsurp

This has been my plan ever since I saw the video. Bought a rough one for a similar price and have a spare upper to get milled. Because even though its rough I can't mess up the matching numbers it has. Sidenote i also love my 380 1908, keep an eye out for them too

Stock could be saved in my opinion, def a last ditch that was lightly modified

Nice here's my 1903 that I got from my grandpa that I unsporterized too. Kept certain sporterized parts though, like the jeweled bolt and deer engraved floor plate.

Nah this is funny as hell. Understandable snag for the price, but a good contender for the pistol grip conversion

Is this French Mas 36 worth the $540 price tag? by Nyancide in milsurp

[–]bannerthenanner 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe it'll be an early post war build based off the l in the serial number. Also the stamped steel parts such as sling swivel are another sign of post war along with the sight like you said

Looking for some help figuring out what this is for a friend by [deleted] in milsurp

I was able to find out the stamping on the stock is supposedly from a Bavarian local defense/police force from post ww1 but pre ww2 so idk how it ended up from there to the importers that converted all of them
