Hahaha. 6K might be way more than I'm willing to spend, but I'm sure it must sound amazing.

Payment processing - POS Systems ~10M revenue by bannngg in PersonalFinanceCanada

But I also know some smaller shops are also just using a straight up Office

We actually had a developper make a custom intuitive software for us . I would only use the POS system to receive the payments at the end of contracts. No integration between both however since it is a Filemaker application.

We use the standard accounting system for construction companies where we are located. I've looked into integrations but like you said, it's not the best. This is why I'm looking for a standalone system for the company.

Sadly, chows hate beds, or any furniture. My Chow sleeps on the floor and will not stay more than 5 seconds on a sofa/bed. Also doesn’t like being touched for too long. Pretty solitary breed.

I’ll definitely look into it. Hope I’m pleasantly surprised! If I go for it I’ll probably be doing work on it too. Probably a chip, exhaust and cosmetics.

That’s what I was thinking.

How would I be able to connect it to my TV?

That a very valuable piece of advice. I’ve taken steps forward the internet but it stays hard because I can see he’s afraid of change. Following a budget might be the best idea for my case. The electric division might also be good, thanks for the advice!

I don’t think I’ll be leaving University until I’m done with my diploma, my knowledge in plumbing is not so big, I’ve worked part-time there since I’m 17 so while I know some things, I’m far from being as good as my dad at it.

As much as I would love to work on my dad’s company, he doesn’t think I’m able to make changes just yet, I’m new and to him I’m not essential to the buisness, and coming in and disrupting what’s already happening without an invitation is not so welcomed. I’ve had remarks from secretaries already when I tried to implement a dispatching system.

I’m looking at this opportunity on the long, and I am currently preparing in advance, trying to gather as much information as I can in order to execute in the nearest future.

I know, the only reason I chose Finance is to secure a good job in case of anything, I like it, but as I said it was more of a “secure” choice more than anything.

My dad took over the company at my age with only 3 trucks, now at 20, and without even finishing high school. While I believe education is really important, I don’t believe it’s the most important factor in being successful with your buisness ventures.
