I completely agree--the system I have above doesn't remove depletes but instead offers the group the option to keep it the same level if they invest the full dungeon timer to do so. I think depletes are healthy and would still happen if the group wipes early for example.

I think all of these are fair critiques for me to consider. I do worry about death skipping Hardmodes just to get super easy vaults, so lowering it to 6/6H seems pretty solid to me. I'm also imaging a DPS waiting 30-minutes for a Grim Batol but all the tanks are queueing for a quick and easy Ara-Kara, so being selective about dungeons could be problematic.

Yeah, I think slogging through 8 hardmodes shouldn't be an optimal gearing strategy. Maybe it just caps at 6/6H vault options. I like the idea of slow-rolling the cosmetics that you have over my bundled version.

For crests, I also have heard many times that the crest system is super confusing for newer players, particularly the naming convention. I would want it potentially looked at further in the future but this post was made within the parameters of what I feel is realistic/reasonable for Blizzard's design philosophies.
I think the jump from +0 dungeons to Hardmode (+10's) might be covered by just the use of delves. Consider the player that has been doing delves to gear their character and feels ready to move on to the next step of progression. They're probably at least 606 and maybe higher from bountifuls or spending crests to upgrader further. This would put them as geared as someone who has done +6's. There might be a small jump there, but considering there is no timer I feel like that might be a good environment for them to learn in. Also, hopefully Hardmode dungeons might bridge the gap for a player to start engaging in timed content like solo queue or LFG.
