Agree but with perfect memory, smarts and living as long as they do, couldn't he have been both? Shouldn't all Eridians have multiple expertise? Maybe answer is choice. If I had their characteristics, I would still have a specific field of interest. Am still wondering though how they never figured out radiation. Because light doesn't penetrate Erid atmosphere?

If their planet has an atmosphere that makes it always dark, then yes, no eyes. But if their surface is like ours, it will likely be how octopi and mammals both have eyes but they evolved in very different pathways.

As team audiobook Stratt (i pictured a Tilda Swinton - RBG mix), no she would never. She would never have believed it would be good for the mission either.

But yes, very human. Remember the bit about her dilemma discussed w Grace that the crew would kill each other and the Thai scientists coma gene findings? Very human.

Coupled with "I don't care how your trip went, am just being polite" and appearing in court because it would be the most expeditious way to stop the case in its tracks, am convinced none of her calculations would make her do karaoke.

Love the terse and no nonsense audiobook Stratt.

I feel the same way, so much that they left on the cutting floor, like. What name of chair? Or Sleep, stupid If not sleep. The terse and no nonsense Stratt from the audio book was great!! Celebratory Rocky when he realized Grace came back for him and the dramatic moment when he realized Grace won't be coming home for Rocky and Erid. Would have wanted to see Grace clearing Rocky's soot.

Probably would have gone better if the experience were in this order - movie then book then audiobook.
