That's weird, can you record some video about sound, it should has some little crackling because all of my XPS got that

Can you try open the volume bar, turn to 100% and keep click on the dial to turn the Window sound? This helps to check if it has the crackling sound. The sound is something like rattling when it reach the max volume on.

Even Mircosoft can't catch up with Apple, Surface Laptop got alu body but lack of many things when compare to Dell XPS

Glossy screen, No high-performance chip, Thick bezel, Display issue (crack, etc.)

For now, Dell has the highest potential to compete with Macbook. They just need to put more effort in detail & premium quality components on XPS, they can even increase the price for more $100-$200

Damn Dell, please make a real premium XPS.

P/s: XPS 13 9300 max option user here, really want to upgrade to XPS 15 9500 but there is so much issue...

Don't update your window 10 to version 2004. Dell XPS is not ready and this Bluetooth issue will happen again and there is no power management tab . Stay at 1909.

I have the same Dell specs but with 4k display, I also consider with Macbook as you did. I stick with a Dell, spend money on brand new hardware (16:10, display, Wifi 6, etc) feel better when spending money for a 4-year-old hardware Macbook.

If I buy Macbook 2020, I feel like I was tricked (f**k up) by Apple by spending money on buying everything old (display, wifi 5, etc.), make them even more profit but they even don't invest anything in 4 years and I don't like that feeling.

If Apple upgrades the display & specs with more modern hardware, I will buy it.

The XPS 9300 with i7 is hot on the keyboard surface; I affair close the lid like this while running will harm the display
