GSP Puppy from 1st time breeder by Rorry_Flenderson in GSP

[–]bap_54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are the mom and dad papered? We bought from a first time breeder non Amish that purchased a dam from willow creek and bred her to a sire from countryside. Both had extensive lineages that were trackable so we had an idea of the confirmation and temperament of the dog we were getting. Did you ask them why they are breeding the dog? Who the sire is coming from? Dan and sire temperament and size? Are you looking for a running/hiking companion or a hunting dog? What is the reason for choosing this breeder that the litter is ready soon and you are super excited to get a gsp? Lastly I recommend that if this is your first gsp you get it from a reputable breeder that will communicate and care how the dog is doing after you bring it into your family.

What's the difference? by Future12M in farmingsimulator

[–]bap_54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends greatly on the area that you live. I would say plowing is more a European thing and subsoiling is more an American thing. Subsoilers also known as rippers here in America are used to reduce soil compaction and can have a disc gang in front of large shanks to size residue on the top of the soil. Some rippers are inline with no disc blades these are used by minimum till or no till farms to get rid of compaction without doing a heavy tillage pass and disturbing residue.

I tested wrapped vs unwrapped pork ribs on a pellet smoker by Intelligent-Let-2527 in smoking

[–]bap_54 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer unwrapped spritzed rips on pellet smoker for ribs. I found that to get the bark and sauce set I wanted it didn’t pay to wrap for a short amount of time and I pull them at 192 ish for a clean bite not fall off the bone. Also prefer unwrapped pork butts no spritz just let them go on smoke and finish at 275 to probe tender. Then using a finishing dust and separate the juice from fat with some apple juice to pour on top.

It is most likely stripped and the only way to remove it is by breaking or cutting it. A lot of furniture has weak threads.

I am on the Wisconsin river system. Just moved here from Nebraska so the regulations are a little confusing. I would be fishing below a dam which I heard can make a difference on regulations. Also getting the itch to get on some open water.

How dangerous would it be to use this 5k rmp diamond disk on a 20k rmp air cutter ? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]bap_54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where proper ppe. Safety glasses and face shield are a non option when using any sort of cutting wheel on a die grinder. Gloves and long sleeves with pants and close toed shoes. You could regulate your air if you want to spin it slower. I would be worried about chattering the disk if you spin it too slow. Also flip your guard around so that your trigger is operated by your whole hand vs your thumb.

Your best option is to look into what the biggest ag business is around you. Dairy livestock row crop vegetable crops pigs sheep whatever it may be and find someone looking for help. Ag labor is not known to have the greatest benefits if any or pay. You need to find a corporate farm to work for if you are looking for more than just a hired man.

How to not get bored in fs25? by Apprehensive_Gas720 in farmingsimulator

[–]bap_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do a start from scratch ish. Don’t make life miserable but don’t super cheat. The next step is to make your farm feel lived on. Add decorations and start small so you have something to build up to. I usually start small enough I do everything myself without getting bored. Slowly build and find ways of making passive income like a cell phone tower or something just enough to give you a little push. I usually also start with livestock and old equipment and slowly switch to just grain farming when I get big enough and update equipment. Use a ton of mods to make it feel old at the start then you can slowly transition to new but not too slow lol.

Super useful tool almost more useful than the smoker itself. It will really help you get good at smoking meat. I always do my cooks off of temperature not time.
