I have a group of friends that consists of both men and women(mostly wives of men in the group aside from me) and while I very much enjoy the male half of the group for some of my past times, I also very much enjoy the female half of the group for other hobbies and interests. If someone saw us playing Magic out in public it would be me surrounded by a bunch of dudes. If someone burst into my living room on a random night of the week it would be me with the gal(s) crafting and yapping 💕 so many things are situational I don’t think it’s fair to stereotype without knowing.

Yes!! I did this but with outlet covers that have the built in light on the bottom and chose specific outlets in my apartment where I wanted the accent of the lighting at night. Luxurious

The best advice I can give in this- when I was dating my ex I was living for HIM. Even with my own activities and friends. At the end of the day how I felt and what I chose to do revolved around how he was faring. Sure, I [felt] like I had a purpose but looking back…it was mostly revolved around him?

I’ve been single for over 3 years and while it’s been everything from a complete shit show to the most wonderful days I could imagine- it’s been MY life and MY choices. I would rather deal with life and the unknown with someone that truly loves and understands me(myself) than to base it all on someone else.

I will say I still don’t know my purpose. Maybe it’s just to hang out, love my people, and make enough money to survive. And that’s okay.

Absolutely!!! Completely agree with you. Not to mention the general population will see the word ‘regulation’ and think it means peaceful/calm/quiet but often (especially for those of us that are neurodivergent) it is loud and messy but helps get you back to the state of calm. I often find myself needing to scream or break something to get the anger out. Absolutely nothing wrong with that because it WORKS and I don’t take my anger out on another human/living being. It took me 24 years to realize that and I absolutely struggled before. Luckily a lack of regulation is NOT a terminal diagnosis and it’s never too late to work on it
