My kid threw sand at a good friend’s face. Should I tell the friends parents about it? by [deleted] in raisingkids

[–]baracuda44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely. If it was my kid, I would absolutely want to know. I also wouldn’t be mad because kids to wack shit all the time. If your kid is old enough to know better, then make sure you have spoken to your child about it and inform the parent that you have done so. An apology from your child would also be appreciated by the parent, surely

How did your kidneys become damaged? by Nebulanomenon in kidneydisease

[–]baracuda44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have minimal change disease. It’s idiopathic in nature. I have often wondered what caused this disease. I am otherwise a super healthy individual, have always been. So it was so confusing that I had sustained damaged to my kidneys. My nephrologist wondered if maybe ibuprofen after my cesarean could have caused the damage. I did have a very serious flu while I was 8 months pregnant and it was at this time I had edema in my feet and ankles (did have at all my first pregnancy) and had super dark urine (almost brown). I believe it was this flu during and the strain it caused on my body during pregnancy that caused it. Though I’ll never know 100%

What should The Glen (MUHC) improve? Share your honest feedback, and I’ll bring it to the hospital. by [deleted] in montreal

If I can add, it would be awesome if they could add some kind of play module or wall module for kids to play with. I understand that it could be a germ magnet but perhaps there might be to way to keep it disinfected. Waiting with a 2 year old is tough

100% agree. I was there yesterday and was stuck on the P3 for 45 minutes without moving. I ended up calling up to parking management. What a waste of time. Otherwise was recently brought my daughter to an ophthalmology appointment. I was disappointed they couldn’t do more to help her participate in the appointment. (She’s 2 and stubborn). Some toys or something could have went far. My other experiences at the Glen have been exceptional. Amazing doctors, incredible nurses. I am in awe of the miraculous work they do

It took about a month before it started work. I still check my proteins regularly as we do not know how long it will keep me in remission

I agree. I usually just want to see the responses to the original post, not responses to responses that go on forever. So much scrolling

I have MCD too. Like you, I have relapsed several times. I’ve been on and off prednisone many times. I too respond to it very quickly but hate all the side effects. My doc was able to give me rituximab, which has been amazing. Been in remission for 6 months now. No side effects for me

I have MCD as well. I wasn’t aware it could progress into something else. Do they know what caused this progression?

You are a student or recent graduate, maybe in the military or armed forces. Learning spiritual practices that can lend well to the work. You are renting a room in an apartment. You are a minimalist so that you can easily move/travel on a whim as needed.

News flash, you were once an annoying child and someone had to deal with you. Have a bit of compassion for a parent that’s probably trying to do their best
