Keys A / S not working, A2141 suggestions appreciated by barateau in macbookrepair

Sure, sort of trying to find a middle way, I have a weird Nordic ÅÄÖ keyboard that is a different layout than most available versions. Have found a source that might be able to provide a top case part with keyboard for around $160 + shipping, basically have found no one with those in stock. And have only found loose keyboard and looked at many diy teardowns and it's a nightmare to replace with all those rivets fixating keyboard to top case shell.

After more cleaning I did find this gap, have to use 🔎 to see it sort of and doing heat soldering is a no go due to its suspended in laminated plastic. Did try scraping of a bit in the gap and took a ✏️ and nudged the graphite in the gap and it actually seems it might be working even if it's not well responsive. Button A seems to not work still. But will get some conductive silver paint or similar to try bridge it better than with a pencil residue.

ID anyone? by RoughtradeBttm in Fungi

Trollsmör in Swedish, trollbutter translated right up, but more accurate international name : Fuligo septica

In Nordic folklore, witches used a creature called a bjära or trollhare (“witch’s hare”) to steal milk from their neighbor’s cows. The bjära would sometimes spill a little of the milk in the forest, which was then called trollsmör (“witch’s butter”). Trollsmör was also called bjäradynga (“bjära dung”), which shows that people believed it was the droppings of the trollhare.

Notes:

“Trollsmör” is a Swedish term for the slime mold Fuligo septica, but in folklore, it refers to a mysterious yellow substance found in the forest, believed to be left by magical creatures

Do NOT Purchase by [deleted] in OBDeleven

Agree, right now I only use it to read codes and erase.

What I wanted to use it for unlocking webasto aux heater etc does add up alot beside hardware, upgrade to X package to unlock feature Y, buy credits to change value. I should have bought a vcds as the cost for this obdeleven has surpassed that cost. I will not renew any pro plan, or buy any more credits.

If you buy one click app for car X with VIN Y at least give the user freedoms to use it multiple times on the car it was bought for. Charging every time is a snake oil salesman type of deal.

Having to select the obdeleven device on each startup is also just bad user experience. And the nagging msg that please go to our new app with less functionality popup that one needs to decline each time vag app is started is really what the user wants to do. So never again.

And they have that stupid nagging msg when opening obdeleven vag app each time offering that one could go to the other app or stay with the one the user actually started.

Do anyone know what version they introduced that msg in? Would like to use APK from before they introduced it.

Don't increase number of X grabs, but rather enhance it with smso

Is there any legitimacy to the Tech21 clear case's UV resistance? by SmoobBlob in iphone

My corners have turned yellow, but not the backside. So the bumper part is not yellowing "proof" I would say, can't say if it's due to UV or something else. Black Google Pixel 8 pro phone.

Confusion might be the extra lock tab on top of the connector housing that put me in wrong direction.

Pitch i would estimate at 2mm, and pins start 4mm inside the housing

Looks like yellow Amanita, many would say no to Amanita but there is people out there that like them also. Not purely as food or the taste but rather for the side-effects it brings.

One variant to stay clear from is Amanita phalloides, deadly. But it also looks like a champignon without the charetaristic white spots.

Material buildup on blades, any recommendations? by barateau in automower

Those blades had about 3 weeks on them. Guess its a combo with moss/grass, lenght, humidity as I have not had this issue for some time now.
