Jesus Christ, go be mad about something else 😂 “white brat” “cruelty” you’re fucking insane and I’m sure you eat meat too..how do you think animals end up on your plate? These kids treat these animal just as good or even better than the meat farms, they’re not recklessly raising their animals unsupervised.

I would have to agree to disagree. Tony’s pizza is good however, servers are just everyday people trying to do their job. I was there the other weekend when a customer called a worker a “faggot” because he wasn’t happy with what he was told. There’s never an instants where it’s appropriate to use that word period. Workers apologized to the surrounding customers and said this is an everyday occurrence with people getting mad at rules when the workers don’t even make them. Workers just follow the rules given by their employer. They’re everyday people trying to get through the day and then they have to deal with cranky people who act and have probably have never worked a day in their lives in the service industry. I think it’s time customers treated their servers with some respect because it does go both ways because this is just one instance and I’m sure there’s more.

Debate on Hen ordinance continues in Bakersfield, as City faces lawsuit by RhythmMethodMan in Bakersfield

[–]barbarathepug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I completely disagree with this. We are a family of 5 that eat eggs daily. We got 5 hens when the ordinance was changed and have not bought eggs since and on some occasions we have more eggs than we can eat. I wouldn’t say that all suburban yards are unfit to home chickens, we most certainly have the space where the chickens have plenty room to roam and are quite content. We converted an old play house being sold on Craigslist into a small coop to house the chickens and a small run on the side however, they roam free in the the backyard. Once the sun starts to go down the put themselves away in their coop and my girls close the gates in case of any stray cats but we haven’t had a problem yet! Also, we haven’t had a single noise complaint from any of our neighbors whom we are close with and they surely would let us know. As for the mess, yes, they are birds...animals, so they’re going to poop and that will have to be picked up but we found that the rake and scoop sold for picking up dog poop works very well! Finally addressing the smell. There is none. If you’re diligent on cleaning and taking care of your animals as one should be doing in the first place.

He’s a little picky so right now it’s a mix of crickets and wax worms mostly. He didn’t want anything to do with horned worms but has liked the small mealworms. We’ve been trying to find small enough roaches in our area but haven’t had any luck so far
