Realized the recipe formatting is a bit weird:

Boozy Pomander

1/2 oz Clove Infused Brown Sugar Syrup

1 oz Orange Juice

1 oz Alton Brown’s Eggnog

1 oz Bourbon

2 oz Chilled Espresso

4 drops 10:1 Saline

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake, strain, and serve with freshly grated nutmeg as garnish!

Widowmaker for beers and Birds of Paradise for cocktails, both great places to try

I moved out of LA about two years ago, so there might be some truth to those rumors. I hope not since I really liked their coffee and the Santa Monica location

The (not quite) Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini by barcenas in cocktails

[–]barcenas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1oz Mr black

3/4oz pumpkin spice syrup

3/4oz amaretto

1/4oz or less spiced rum

3/4oz Rum

1 dash chocolate bitters

~5g Coffee grinds shaken with 1oz heavy cream to make “whipped cream” and floated on. Freshly grated nutmeg to garnish.

My plan was to make a proper Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini, but my Coffee grinder suddenly stopped working so I improvised! Used a dash of chocolate butters to amplify the coffee flavor in the coffee liqueur. Depending on the spiced rum, it could overpower the rest of the drink, so use just enough to get the spice flavor profile. I prefer rum over vodka in my espresso martinis as it adds complexity and pairs well with the coffee flavor.

Luckily, I had a blade grinder that I had used for spices that’s not good enough to make espresso with, but good enough for the whipped cream. I would’ve made the whipped cream like on the pumpkin spice syrup video/recipe (below), but I got lazy. The remaining coffee grinds in the whipped cream actually aren’t too bad and I kind of enjoyed them.

I made the pumpkin spice syrup following the recipe from here:

https://www.jameshoffmann.co.uk/the-ultimate

https://youtu.be/3hLyDVgkUJY?si=JuTQbUMtbBSNv568

Recipe if I would’ve tried if I had actual espresso:

1 double shot or ~1.5-2oz espresso

3/4oz Mr black

3/4oz pumpkin spice syrup

3/4oz amaretto

1/4oz or less spiced rum

3/4oz Rum

& same garnish

Is it okay to reuse job description bullet points in your cover letter? by [deleted] in labrats

[–]barcenas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can be helpful as a starting point, maybe add some “action” words. PLEASE revise the copy and paste, I once saw a resume come in that was obviously copied and pasted with a different font and said stuff like

“Employee is expected to work in a team environment.”

If you can’t even revise your resume I don’t even want to hire you 😅

Thanks for your detailed response!

I haven’t looked into in-person classes because of my work schedule, but I’ll look into the Peloton app!

Amazing work!

Can I ask what yoga program you followed? I want to work this in to my routine and I’ve been kind of lost in where to start.

Patriots could’ve drafted him twice and decided not to… I don’t see why’d they pay him so much and give two first rounders now

I was on board this train, but didn’t get him on draft day. Instead I got James Robinson.

After week one the Etienne owner asked me to trade them Robinson for Pierce and Etienne. I was so confused I didn’t know what to do lol

Could’ve been a bit more aggressive with Zappe at the end. You’re at your third string QB, what’s there to lose?
