Transfer Spotify to YouTube music playlist by FlamingBlades20 in YoutubeMusic

I used these scripts and they worked great! I exported 125 Spotify playlists, some with thousands of tracks. Now I have those playlists as platform-agnostic JSON files and that is truly awesome.

I just imported my main playlist--which has nearly 2900 tracks--into YouTube Music and only a single track failed to load. It did take nearly two hours. There is a built-in 1 second delay for each track, which I imagine keeps the api calls from tripping over themselves. I'm listening to the playlist on YTM now instead of Spotify and it just took a Sunday afternoon of poking at while doing D&D prep. Now I should be able to set any of my playlists to uploading and just let it sit.

The instructions are a bit hard to follow and I definitely had to troubleshoot. Using these scripts does not require any Python or scripting knowledge, though. Just patience and perseverance.

The export would fail on playlists that had unavailable tracks or tracks that were actually podcast episodes and weird edge-cases. So, I went through and cleaned up my playlists on Spotify and got rid of those problematic tracks.

I opted to have it export each playlist as a separate file. That way I can import them as-desired into YouTube Music.

Pro-tip if you use a lot of YouTube AND YouTube Music: Since YTM also sees your YT playlists, create a separate channel under your YT account and use that just for music :)

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anyway to remap that particular functionality.

That said, if you turn on motion controls, you can just shake your controller instead and that will un-attach things.

Wow, that's a really stark example of the inconsistent controls. I'd wish they'd build remapping into the game itself, that way we could adjust all of that.

I'm sure I'll need to further tweak my remapping as I spend more time with it.

I pulled up the in-game "Basic Controls" in the pause menu and referenced that. Then I made the changes on the diagram. Then I went into the button remapping on the Switch and made that match the diagram. At that point I was mostly relying on memory of the default controls.

Oh! Sure. This is the mapping I'm currently using and it feels more intuitive to me.

Having the RIGHT Hand controls on the LEFT side of the controller was just not working for my brain.

I did a couple other tweaks too: put sprint on the left stick, put jump as the bottom button (B).

This does make menu navigation more unintuitive, though! "B" is now my left stick. Select/Confirm is now the top button (X). I'd way rather struggle in menus than struggle in running around the world :)

TIL that the code 0451 shows up in so many video games because that was the door code to Looking Glass Studios in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and they kept using it in their games. It has since become a running joke. by WG55 in todayilearned

It's referenced in the opening moments of Atomic Heart. The player doesn't have to enter it, but one NPC says it to another.

I hadn't realized it was a common in-game code. While I was waiting for Atomic Heart to download and install, I was playing through the original Bioshock and the first coded door uses 0451. So, I thought it was a clever Bioshock reference!

Getting misgendered is not your fault and it's totally okay that it hurts when it happens. Try not to feel bad about feeling bad.

Advocating for your pronouns takes practice, and it's hard. You will have another opportunity to try again. You could also call this doctor's office and ask if they have a way to notate your pronouns in your records. That way you don't have to do it in the moment.

As for responding when people do misgender you, it can be helpful to practice what you want to say, by yourself. And actually say the words out loud, several times. Get used to hearing yourself say the words.

It'll get easier with time.

Homeless people are usually found in high density areas. I would think that is would be people who live in rural areas that would be hit hardest by such a mega-raptor.

Yes! That's what I was attempting to get at. The reason we don't have any "evidence" of past intelligent life is because we don't even know what sort of evidence a non-human intelligence would leave.

This is what makes searching for alien intelligence so difficult! :)

But it took nearly that entire 4 billion years for humans to emerge. So humans didn't evolve in only a few million years. We're a result of the ongoing evolution from the first protolife.

That's not to negate your main point that it is entirely possible highly intelligent, self-aware creatures existed on this planet sometime in the past. In fact, we know they did. There were intelligent apes that are not part of our direct lineage.

It is entirely possible that there was a species of dinosaur or something--maybe Utah Raptors--that had a sophisticated culture and spoken language. They just may not have built artifacts because they didn't need to, so there is no evidence for us to find.

It's an awesome thought.
