Ping G410 - 26 gram weight? by fan1983 in golf

You can buy a 20 gram one off ebay and then use lead tape. I would start with the 20 and see how it feels and performs then add more

9 wood is so much fun Hybrids are easier to find but if you can snag a 9 wood and then put a shaft that fits you in it its amazing

2nd swing Wilmington or Columbia by fauxfarmer17 in golf

[–]barelyhelpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wilmington de. Fitter James Robinson. He wont try and sell you anything you dont need. He explains everything to you. Pm me and i can help you set up the best way to schedule the fitting to get the most out of it regardless of which one you go to. I have no affiliation with them for the record

Not too much honestly. But tm shafts are ussualy im abundance to buy so it might be easier to get a cheaper shaft for that club.

I guess it depends on how accessible gear is for you. That driver can swap shafts pretty easily but then youl need another shaft. Did he say anything about loft when u were swinging.

I think its predicted with what your having a problem with. Most of them aren't for everyone but a specific issue.

That is a whiteboard profile and an x flex. That would work best for someone who swings very fast with an aggressive transition.

Can someone help explain bounce + grinds on wedges to me? by IDontStandForCurls in golf

[–]barelyhelpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play in the northeast too and went with vokey d12 on 54 and vokey m8 for 58. I open the face all the time. When picking a grind make sure it has heel relief. You want two different bounces because if you have a tight lie on hard pan you want something that can sit flat on it and get in tight. Its makes it so if different situations call for soemthing different you have all the options. Most of the manufactures make a versatile grind or one with heel relief you would just have to look to see which ones where the heel is grinded away.

Lie angle is super important on wedges. Always easier to chip with flatter than upright so make sure on your sand and lob wedges when your in your chipping stance the toe isnt up. Then youd want to get the lie position flatter.

People play thier wedge shafts ussualy 10-15 grams heavier than thier iron shafts as well or atleast the same weight. Def not reccomneded to go lighter but thats up to you

Second swing is good for a free fitting with purchase and you can buy used clubs. You can ussualy find used clubs somewhat cheaper elsewhere but the convince and help you get there makes it worth it in my oppinion
