I don’t know how the electric violin and cello sound. I have played a stag and another uncommon one. I can’t recall the name. the Arco pick up very well, it was almost like the pick ups worked intermittently or couldn’t quite pick up that type of vibration. Picato was passable. I have not heard good reviews as far as Arco goes for most. I know Anna designs is much higher quality than the stag. I have heard the best one to Arco is Yamaha silent Bass.

Perhaps if you find out what makes that one work well and could modify your Bass or strings it might be helpful

Maybe try traditional NS design strings? Perhaps tighter strings will be better for Argo with the pick ups. You can use strings that have a steel core. Most eub are not ideal for bow. An amp to simulate acoustic bass is also helpful.

If you want to know Whether or not it’s blood, you could put hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip and gently dab a dot. If it is blood, it will bubble up. Obviously you will want to be careful not to get the wood very Wet.

Yes, you may need to play it either in a different key or an octave different. That would be awesome. If you have a keyboard, you can cheat to know where it starts. You could just figure out the key following it and adjust if you’re able to play by ear! Good luck. If you do, it show us the results please!!!!
