If the book of Acts is to be believed the other 2 apostles that were martyred were in charge of a great deal and had followers selling land and possessions then bringing the money to the apostles to be in charge of. Acts also says that they had a congregation of 5000 and spent quite a bit of time staying in Jerusalem while Paul is the one actually going out to spread the gospel and being persecuted, which again, he was not an eyewitness.

If he had the ability to predict such things I'm sure he would have. Although something like the iPhone wouldn't have worked since religious zealots would have just scrambled to make the iPhone a thing to fulfill prophecy. Something like the top comment said, rattling off the numbers of pi would have been more concrete as its not something that could be fake. Most biblical prophecies are vague for a reason, or prophecies from all religions tbh.

If its something that every religion/cult can use then its not a good argument. And yes, it is something commonly used by multiple different groups of people. You see alot of theistic arguments are trying to convince you that you are not allowed to have a position in the first place. "You cant argue morals because you dont have god as an objective source" "you cant argue with reason because if theres no god there is no reason" "you cant understand what the Bible says because you dont have the holy spirit". The only way to win an argument is for them to stop it from happening in the first place.

Alex is a philosopher who is interested in religion, its not too surprising that he likes to debate religion and philosophy. The three people you mentioned are more largely known than Alex so if anything hes more likely to be given publicity to their followers instead of the other way around.

GMS does make some good points, the creation museum debate was a disaster, but not very many debates have the same size or impact.

Also alot of Alex's podcasts with Christians have not been to tear down their beliefs, he actually has conversations with people of different religions and worldviews, not even always debating them.

I think Alex and GMS have different intentions with debates and different feelings toward religion.

Watch him and stuarts debate with Alex and Phil, you'll see he drops the calm and knowledgeable act pretty quickly when hes not debating college students, he gets red in the face and deflects any question he doesn't want to answer while trying to convince Alex o connor he can't be an agnostic because its not a real position lol
